To me, most all lemon lime sodas taste fairly close to each other. I’m not picky….except with Starry. It’s noticeably much worse than the competition. I guess it’s more Lime forward but I don’t think that’s what makes it bad. I have no idea what it is.

As a Canadian… I didn’t even know it WAS a product. I don’t know if it’s not sold here or what (kinda find it hard to believe it isn’t) but I don’t purchase or drink any soda either so it’s probably just a me thing.

Because lemon-lime soda is marketed toward African Americans and the NBA also targets the same demographic in their advertising. Watch McDonald’s and soda ads. The ads with Sprite or Starry always feature African Americans. My dad worked in the soda industry and the data shows that black consumers buy lemon-lime at a higher rate than other groups.

And how often as a consumer of other products do you get upset about lost corporate sponsorships?
