I’m a Celtics fan and they had barely above a 0% chance of winning a ring without Tatum. Their young pieces help in the regular season but come playoff time it’s a different story, benches get shortened, many of the guys have little to no playoff experience. Teams will be able to only gameplay for JB for an entire series. JB is great but he’s not good enough to carry a team to a finals by himself. With Tatum even at 80% by playoffs they have a great shot.

Even after getting injured his averages are at 24-5-5. Think that’s close enough to be labeled as a 1B compared to Brown versus Tatum, and even if he isn’t, it’s close.

Tatum always had a healthy ppg edge compared to Brown too, and basically everybody in the league knows it’s Tatum’s team, not Brown’s.

This was the first season during his entire Celtic tenure that he was the unquestionable first option for the team. Going from that to adjusting back to the old way of things is not easy if you believe you are actually better than the other great player on the team.

Celtics have been very much healthy compared to us this season, yeah. That plays a big part in all this.

White at 65, Pritchard at 66, Queta at 64, those guys are all 25+ mpg players who have been brilliant all season.

If we had Shai and Dub injured but everyone else was guaranteed a 70+ game season, think we could have fought for the 8th seed, not 6th but 8th sounds doable.

We have Hartenstein at 37, Chet at 58, Ajay at 46. Those are more or less the equivalent players for OKC off the top of my head.

I also think Reaves can average 28-30 ppg being healthy if Luka was out for the season for instance.

Murray averaged 27/4/8 in 12 games without Jokic this season.

You got a championship it’s soon time to get ur own team if/when the opportunity presents itself…he will never get the credit he deserves on this team he was always be looked at as the side kick…even when he won eastern conference finals mvp and then won finals mvp I had people telling me Tatum should have won them lol …this year with Tatum out with the Achilles the organization tore down the team getting rid of 3 of the remaining 5 best healthy players…they thought it was a throw away year because Tatum would be out… JB lead this team to the 2nd best record in the league and most people couldn’t name the starting 5…now that Tatum is back JB is expected to fit in around Tatum and sacrifice for Tatum who’s returning from a torn Achilles … shouldn’t JB be allowed to continue to play the way he has all season and let tatum fit in?
