Bam Adebayo is averaging over 30 PPG in March. In 7 total games, he has 1 game over 30 points.
This is NOT a Bam hate post but damn 83 is going to do wonders for ya lol

This guy just discovered math.
If you check the link, it’s already been calculated in the monthly averaged stats at the bottom of each month so don’t get our hopes up about OP.
OP the second coming of Descartes
Isaac Nephewton
Next up, statistical outliers
Not trying to be a dick… But are you just learning what average means? Obviously he has a huge outlier which skews the stat
Be a dick. People need to learn stuff lol
Y’all are absolute morons if you think OP didn’t realize this.
The entire point of the post is pointing out how much an extreme outlier makes an average look misleading. Like. That is the point of the post.
You and the other person are so determined to feel above someone else you wound up looking like both a moron and a jerk for completing missing OPs point
I think redditors tend to be strongly arrogant concerning their own intelligence, which, combined with a topic they are fairly ignorant about, manifests in just assuming that everyone else must necessarily be extremely stupid. The smartest people I know always interpret the things others say in the best possible light if theres any ambiguity, the dumbest people do the opposite.
Be a white knight. People need to post every thought that comes into their head online.
It’s fine to post the fact that someone averaging 30 points in a month has only scored over 30 once. No need for people to be in their feelings about it.
…that’s the entire point of OP’s post. You are being a dick, they blatantly know that and the point of this post is how insane of an outlier it is that it drives the PPG up that much.
Like read their actual post, not doing so and being condescending is indeed dickish. OP obviously knows that, that is the entire point they were making
The point is how drastic of an outlier it is, and how they makes a larger PPG stay seem misleading. That’s the fucking point of the post. My god man
American education system has gone downhill lately.
Which game was that?
Some random game people got mad about
The US used to teach this kind of math in like 2nd grade we are cooked
Y’all are really gonna suck every ounce of karma out of this one, aren’t you
to be fair
it’s a lot of points
It certainly is and deserved to cover the front page of this sub for a day or two. Just funny to see how the karma seekers are going to try to work it into new posts for the next few months
I’m glad you decreed it’s impressive but only impressive enough for people to post ~2 days after it happened
It’s just classic reddit to try to shoehorn any meaningful story into karma whore posts as much as possible. If someone provided unseen courtside footage or something meaningful about it then I’m all for it. But this post is fucking stupid. And in two weeks when somebody makes a post that says Bam averaged 24 points in March but only scored 30 twice it will be fucking stupid. I didn’t decree shit. I’m just calling out the karma whores.
True lol
Man, this comment section sucks
OP saw something stat related, and thought it would be fun to post about it. Not sure why it turned into “bro just learned how averages work 😂👀🍆💥”
Things can be simple and interesting at the same time. Not everything shared needs to be groundbreaking.
This post reminded me of 2 of my favorite baseball stat fun facts:
Barry Bonds only ever hit 50 homers once, the year he set the single season home run record (73)
Sammy Sosa is the only player to hit 60 homers 3 times, and he did not lead the league in any of those 3 seasons
That Sammy sosa fact is a very fun fact
The mean is not a resistant statistic.
Ignore the condescension, it’s still a fun fact even for people who know math/statistics.
The boxplot of those 7 games looks hilarious as well.
Math is, indeed, mathing.
Third grade math problems be like:
But what a game it was
All while shooting below 50% as a big
u realize most bigs get spooned fed dunks from their star pgs right?
take a look at any heat game and how bam has to create for himself lol
What does that have to do with a big shooting below 50%. Maybe improve ur offensive game after all these years ?
he has lol, hes gone from completely not shooting 3s to attempting 4 a game. he has to self create way more than he did his early years
which is y his shooting percentage has gone now, something thats really ez to understand if ur not just looking at a box score like u do
He has a 55% true shooting as a center lol what is he improving ? He’s barely and I mean barely more effecient than Westbrook currently lol
yea its not worth debating with ppl like u that dont even watch games
They already told you they were a smooth brain with their username. There was no point in continuing with them.
Celebrating a center with a 1% higher true shooting than Westbrook is funny asf
Reading is hard huh
Not at all is what I typed wrong ?
Tell me where I’m wrong ?
u ask me how hes improved, i tell u hes gone from completely not shooting the 3 to legitimately shooting them now and u spew his ts% and say he hasnt improved
yea man ur real
Just because he’s attempting more threes does not mean his game is improving. Bams offense is lack luster, he still Misses a lot of easy shots around the rim and floaters, his touch around the rim should be marginally better and his mid range.
Most posts are not from real people or unoriginal click bait farmers.
Do you understand how averages work?
