Cavs coach Kenny Atkinson has no doubt Flagg has “superstar” written all over him. Asked what impressed him the most about Flagg, Atkinson said: “Size, how well he moves, how hard he competes on both ends, the athleticism.
“There’s no B.S. to his game. He just kind of locked in and competed. There’s no extra stuff. This guy is the real deal, real good character-wise, talent-wise. The sky’s the limit for the guy, and then the shot will come. It’s just a matter of consistency and trust in it, but the shot is going to come. I’m really, really impressed.”
So, too, is Kidd as he’s watched Flagg’s maturation process up close on a daily basis, and knows his three-point shot will improve with time.
