I legitimately think Mark was afraid of putting a single bad defensive player on the court at all times during last season’s playoffs. He rode those defensive lineups to HELL.

Hopefully he figured out that we can live with some defensive mishaps even during playoff time, and/or actually cover for our bad defensive players instead of leaving them on an island.

He wasn’t afraid, Joe was just immediately abused every time Mark tried to give him minutes. He was definitely just unplayable. He’s made significant improvements this year, so we will see if it transfers to the playoffs

See I disagree with this. Joe was abused sure, but we just let EVERYBODY get one on one time last season. For a team that has good defensive chops as we do, we can at least help those players.

We have the likes of Hartenstein and Chet inside. Let Joe get beat but make him funnel those players inside.

If we can’t do that, McCain is no different than Joe either. Man’s a defensive sieve.
