Looks by design! Sure hitting the rim is difficult enough. But watch reaves already going left and Ayton screening and pushing jokic under rather than fighting for position and rebound. Obviously you need a little luck but this clearly has been practiced but that was a great execution all around.

Surely must’ve happened many other times in the NBA but this one sticks out in my mind. I guess it’s because Yao pulled it off so smoothly (including the kick out pass to a wide open teammate).

I do still think they can keep him at a decent salary. Austin’s cap hold next season is like 24 mill iirc, so they could sign him to a big contract over the cap and past 24 mill it wouldn’t count. Then they can give LeBron like \(20 mill, which I think is fair for the level of player he is now and to keep some cap space open for signings. That would still be like \)30 mill in free cap space. Or maybe he takes a vet min next season. I doubt it, but it depends how much he wants to stay with the Lakers and how much others are willing to pay
