What did the media say that’s so bad? I see this sentiment all over reddit lately and IDK if I missed something, but for the most part the criticisms I saw from the media were that he complains too much (true) and that although the numbers were still great, he didn’t seem quite as impactful as his peak Mavs days (also true). Even when I’ve heard some big names like Lowe or Legler criticize him for things, they also went out of their way to call him a basketball genius or emphasize he still should be first team all-nba.

I never said he was the best player in the league. Didn’t win it in 23-24 bc of seeding also but let’s be honest he should have won it. Shai is better than Luka but is only winning it because he is first seed in the west. You put Shai on the lakers and I guarantee you he barely cracks top 4 in the standings.
