[Highlight] Ant gives Steph a taste of his own medicine
“Why did I show him how to shoot…”
“This guy is so annoying…”
“Why did he have to crop dust me…” smh
“How do I tell Kerr to make us the bad guys again from this?”
“Why couldn’t Kerr keep his mouth shut”
One of the funniest highlight/reactions I’ve ever seen lol
Yall wolves fans are elite. Ants my second favorite player after Steph
The entire Warriors bench going through various stages of grief as the light leaves Stephs eyes. Sheesh.
They wasted the last years of his prime.
Shameful. He legit deserves better.
They were title contenders for most of his prime, he has 4 rings to show for it. Bro is 38 now.
All things considered, Steph has spent longer on a contender than nearly any older star in the league.
And he could have spent longer if they dumped Dray and didn’t send JP to Hogwarts, among a flurry of other bad decisions. The Warriors have been horrible at asset management the last 5 or so years.
The Wiseman pick was great though
Hindsight is 20⁄20. No front office, good or bad, will bat 1000. But the Warriors have done very well overall. Even despite some of those more recent stumbles, the Jimmy and KP pickups have made them a solid team on paper. In recent history, I can’t think of a team that has managed to build as strong of a team around their superstar over an extended period of time. Maybe the Celtics With Tatum? But certainly not many. And while the Celtics have done very well over a long term they had nowhere near the team Steph had at his peak.
A solid team on paper but there is no way we are staying healthy for a full season. The goal is to get healthy at the right time, squeak into the playoffs and catch some sort of lighting in a bottle situation like Butler on the Heat for his two final runs.
Curry, Butler, Dray are all older, and Kristaps is always injured. Meaning the team will inevitably rely on Podz, Moody, Santos, Melton, Post and Spencer for long stretches. That’s a decent enough bench but not going to win a ton of games if you are relying on those players as your main offensive talents.
A solid team on paper but there is no way we are staying healthy for a full season
Steph is 38, this is about as good as you’re gonna get. Just be happy that Steph Warriors dominated the NBA for almost a decade.
Yeah. Literally it’s about just getting into the playoffs and getting a series or two…if that, play-in is the most likely outcome, unless Giannis or someone like that falls into their laps and even then they are an old team.
All of that is true, but let’s not pretend like they obviously should’ve handled the donkey better in the last few years
Chill they got more chips than yall got playoff appearances in that time
Talk all the shit you want but I’m being realistic. If you graded every move they’ve made since 2022 they’d be like a C.
True buts we still did waste Steph.
But back to the original point tho like… I can’t think of any superstar treated as well as Steph was for as long as Steph was since Jordan
Like yeah. You had the perfect setup and could have run longer. But you had 5 straight Finals appearances with 3 wins and another one later. You are literally the last dynasty. What the fuck more is a Warriors fan entitled to lmao
The Spurs were legit championship contenders for Tim Duncan’s entire 19 year career.
Welp for majority of those contending years they had the same trio, which the Warriors tried but shit happened to Klay, and Dray’s game struggles without Klay or Steph, so there’s that. Spurs are outliers tho
Timmy only has one more chip than steph. Neither are bad runs. Do you have any idea how hard they are to get?
Other than Bill Russell and Duncan, no team has had 13+ year title windows. Those two are the most extreme outliers for longevity on a single team.
Chips aren’t as easy to get as you think. MJ spoiled you.
Damn didn’t know bro was making choices. Glad you called him out tho!
Jordan Poole is dnp on the pelicans. One amazing 2022 is really an outlier
I can’t take anyone seriously who thinks Jordan Poole is the answer to winning. We pulled out all the value we could from him in a 4-5 month stretch which ended with us winning. He’s been ass outside of that stretch for his entire career before and after.
Clearly you don’t watch ball. He’s been arguably the worst(by basically any stat that matters) offensive player in the NBA who was getting major minutes(getting DNP’s right now).
He plays 0 defense. One of the worst players in the league efficiency wise and we got bigs who shoot better from deep than he does which was the one thing that people think he’s good at(shocker he’s not when he doesn’t get wide open 3’s playing next to Klay and Steph).
there’s a poole before draymond punched him and a poole afterward. none of us get to go through that and we don’t get a say in his reaction. poole earned his money and nobody backed him up. i dont’ blame him at all.
lol not this tired take.
Go look at Jordan Pooles stats outside of that 4-5 month run he had. He’s been the same player he is now.
If all it takes is one punch to ruin a guys game then did he ever have game? He got hit. It’s not something that changes the way you shoot or play basketball.
He’s being passed around to tanking teams and is barely getting run anymore.
He’s always been an inefficient chucker that plays 0 defense. Inflated ego. Me first player. Even Steph was visibly getting pissed at him before he got shipped out because he would single-handedly lose us games in the 4th by trying to play hero ball or completely ignoring our game plan.
He got ridiculously hot for half a season while playing next prime Steph and Klay. Getting wide open looks night in and night out. Right after getting paid he regressed into what he always was and this before he got his noggin knocked. Warriors didn’t trade him because of what happened. They traded him because it was apparent that the contract was terrible and wouldn’t age well considering he brought nothing to the table except 36% from 3.
This is one of those vibes based opinions that get parroted here because fans have a soft spot for him due to him helping us win and can’t fathom that he’s not some all star caliber player.
there’s so many different things draymond has done to earn himself a spot outside the league. what he did to poole was the most egregious.
I was wondering who the fuck JP was. “Who the hell was a Warriors major gaffe thats a JP?!? Jevin Purant? JP Dumont from the 00s Sabres?? Oh… Jordan Poole was the key to the Warriors remaining contenders?? Ok”
The shit that gets upvoted here and parroted is hilarious. 0 ball knowledge. Pure vibes and feelings based analysis and opinions.
You should see the shit that gets upvoted in our team sub.
Brain dead takes from the hive mind.
People who don’t watch warriors ball have no idea how much Dray means to the team too. Dray def sucked last few years but he was a key member of warriors team defensively AND offensively. Players like JP, Kuminga have no fucking idea how their offense flows and kills the momentum every time they touch the ball. There’s a reason why players like Dray, Looney were core part of the team.
Fr, also regarding JP. He was crucial for that 22 run but he was also inefficient/played no D and once the league started calling his gather, his game took a dive. I also never seen a player get curry so mad before, he literally got curry ejected by not passing him the ball. It’s so weird seeing people glaze JP, like I know he was good to great in 22, but he hasn’t done anything since. He’s a 10-15 mill player getting payed 30mill, with all the same flaws he’s had since he got traded.
Calling the Wizards organization Hogwarts is pretty hilarious.
I wanted to dog this, but actually interested though
So in your hypothetical, instead of trading poole for cp3, they trade dray for another big? Who do you think they should have?
Always crippled timelord? Although I guess they could just roll him and looney 18-20 minutes a game each, to try keep them healthy?
Nurk? He had 1 decent season with us, but not good enough on either end to have better playoff results for the warriors.
Ayton? Lol this would have been a dream for us, toxic for toxic trade, but maybe we get to keep Camara?
Collins? Definitely would have helped give more offense, but they would have hurt on the defensive and boards side of the equation.
Grant Williams? He kind of fell off a cliff after leaving the Celtics.
Not sure any other bigs were available that offseason, that really would have moved the needle enough to not “waste steph’s prime” somehow.
Only player who got another MVP on his team after winning one lol
Lol people are ridiculous. Ring chasing culture plus social media has rotted people’s views on winning.
Like it’s so easy to just win NBA championships. There’s 10 or so other superstars in this league who haven’t won nearly as much as Steph(or even been serious contenders as consistently) but you don’t hear anyone crying about their teams wasting their “primes”(Steph is 37 lol).
We got enough talent if we were healthy. Beating teams or competing against good teams running out 2nd rounders and 2 way players right now.
Steph made the Finals six times out of his 8 prime years (one season was a scratch because he was injured for all but five games). People are just drama chasing weirdos that say stupid stuff for karma….and those fools upvoting them should learn to think before hitting the up arrow.
Our own fans talk like this but that’s understandable considering 90% of our fans don’t know basketball before Steph. Their frame of reference is game breaking playstyle and championships. Spoiled brats.
100% they did not experience the Biedrins, Foyle, Bob Sura years
9 months ago if his hamstring holds up there is a decent shot he makes the conference finals. You have to have the memory of a goldfish (and have an extremely loose definition of prime) to think that they’re wasting his prime. Him being very old is basically the only reason they’re under .500 right now! Because he’s missed 16 games with “old man knees”.
They’re really bad right this moment but that’s mostly because every player on the team but Jimmy Butler was picked because they fit with Steph and we have no Steph!
To add to the “memory of goldfish” point. Ever since 2015 Warriors have been contenders and have a legitimate chance of making top 4 in the west this year (esp. if u consider they’ll get KP at some point w/ an uninjured Jimmy)
Just terrible luck with injuries which costed them two years + that finals v. Raptors and now another year is lost to injuries as well.
seriously how many rings is this dude expected to win. all time great, he got 4 as a leader on 1 team hes fine
They won in 2022 c’mon.
Right I’m like wtf didn’t they just win a chip?! What is he on😂 these spoiled fanbases bruh I tell you smhh😂
Youre right and i 100% agree, but a laker fan of all ppl shouldnt be saying that lmao
That’s the joke.gif
What’s a championship?
u also right
This flair obsession common on this sub as if all fans of a team are a monolith is just weird
That’s such a heat fan thing to say.
Says the heat fan 💀
Haha
Charlotte fans are trying to manifest Steph finishing out his career in Charlotte with Kon
I been manifesting us getting Giannis. We all be crazy sometimes
Bruh I’m a fucking Hornets fan, the fuck do you mean lol
That and having the 3rd best player in the NBA join your 73-9 team wasn’t enough I guess.
jimmy got injured he got injured. they didn’t waste anything. what they gonna do somehow trade for giannis???
Nah Giannis traded his soul on Kalshi
Giannis is probably pissed he’s with Kalshi considering Polymarket is partnering with Palantir and build a “next-generation sports integrity platform”
Warriors control all of their first round picks until 31. If you ask me, there could’ve been number of moves in the last 3 years, after no doing anything in 23, that would’ve much better enabled the team to contend with Steph, who despite his age, still performs like top 10 player in the league.
yeah kuminga and wiseman is what cost them 5 or 6. Cant count steph out though until he retires imo
They attempted to trade those picks for a superstar multiple times in the past years and either the other team or star didnt want any part of it.
Fan mistake #1 thinking you dont need the other team to agree 🤣
Fan mistake #2 is to think that the only way to improve your team is to get a superstar.
There were tons of trades that could’ve been made if warriors were willing to trade, but judging by the fact that they have literally all of the first round picks at their disposal and the way they handled Kuminga trade and what led up to it, I would say that maybe some of the blame should be with the front office.
Also it is not like it was only this season. Since 22 championship it has been 4 years. Don’t tell me that none of the teams wanted to trade decent role players for post Curry era first rounders. Instead we are playing our own second round picks this season.
they drafted bad but also your paying steph draymond and previously klay big money and they just got old. tale old as time when teams don’t wanna get rid of their superstar. if they really wanted an amazing future they trade steph or gotta hit on their picks and they not doing the first and the second option is also luck.
Yeah you want to look at emptying the tank look at us lol
I mean, no one can blame Bucks for trying. You got really unlucky with Dame. Giannis and Dame played like 1 playoff game together.
They going back to the dark ages for a while. It’s nature.
Warriors did a solid job of working with what they had in Curry’s ladder years. Even the roster this year could’ve been much more solid without injuries.
Yeah man every superstar deserves a championship every year!! Trophies for every top ten player!
6 finals appearances and 4 rings is a waste.. Sheeeesh.
Yall dumbasses use the word “waste” too much
Wtf are you on bro? He got rings af
He has 4 rings lol
No he doesn’t, he had about as good a career as you could want. Let everyone else do their thing now.
The Warriors have done so much for him and put so much around him, this is such a brain dead take.
Look at Giannis and then tell me Steph has had a rough career and that the Warriors front office has been SHAMEFUL
This is an absurd take, how it is upvoted so highly is mind boggling. A player’s prime these days has been extended from about age 26 to age 34. In those nine seasons of Steph’s career he made the Finals six times, won the title four times, made the conference semis once and missed the playoffs twice. One of those seasons he missed the playoffs he only played five games, so it doesn’t count. That means, from 8 seasons he only missed the Finals twice. And YOU THINK THAT MEANS THEY WASTED HIS PRIME??? What the hell is wrong with you people?
I swear people can’t read. “The last years of his prime”.
He was still All NBA 23, 24, and 25.
Are you suggesting that a player who is top 15 in the league is not still in his prime?
It’s not his fault he ages like an elf. Treat him right or send him and Seth home to Papa Curry
I mean they made some gambles and it failed. They chose green over Poole due to fit and chemistry, they went in for butler thinking he could be the guy they needed to help steph, they let klay walk to not overpay him and sign other guys.
The porzingis move was a little more confusing due to his inner history but I understand the thought, if hes healthy they could be a deadly team.
Shameful lmfao they won very recently and made it deep ish in the playoffs last year
People on social media just be saying random shit they couldn’t possibly back up with an argument
He go to charlotte to the splash family and show his hometown he still has some prime left
Steph competed in finals for years thanks to his teams great drafts and acquisitions (along with his undeniable greatness of course). More than most greats to be honest. Only a few players in NBA history were competing for titles every year of their career. Most of the greats have lackluster endings.
Hardly wasted. I see about 4 reasons why Steph got everything he deserved.
They literally won a ring not four years ago
There are cycles for teams. GSW’s cycle has ended and they kept on spending to get rosters for Steph when in reality they were best off rebuilding because they were overspending due to luxury taxes. GSW did their part for Steph.
If Steph wanted another legit shot of contending, he should have left GSW. Expecting GSW to get him a legit contending roster is just unrealistic.
Regrets not going to Minny on draft day. Him and Johnny basketball would’ve crushed it
Syracuse Legend Johnny Ballgame
notably the only Cuse player ever drafted by the wolves ( because if you don’t acknowledge the existence of Wesley Johnson the memory can never harm you )
I will not tolerate full Wes Johnson slander. You’ll semi-slander him like the rest of us and like it.
If they only let go of Draymond. Smh
I think Steph was already bummed out because his brother was injured earlier in the game.
Good point. He’s just like… Ant man, not right now.
How is he giving Steph a taste of his own medicine if Steph is on the bench?
The stare down after the shot because stare downs toward the bench is something Steph sometime does.
I guess… I feel like most players do that though
Well most players don’t hit dagger threes as much as Steph Curry and Anthony Edwards.
Luka stares at the bench literally every game
I said most
Pretty sure I just saw someone on the Blazers do it 10 minutes ago
Most players do it, dude is buggin lol
I just did it!
Ah yes the 2 mins left in the 2nd when up by 19 dagger 3
But This was in the second quarter..
He waited for it to go in. Not like Steph at all.
And Al. Who woulda thunk this teams a little injury prone lol
the more i see of him, the more i am convinced that his character in Hustle is just him
He wasn’t acting
“Shit sounds wack” when Bo said he was from Spain lol. Makes me laugh every time
Those were just random pick up games he happened to stop by to play in
If I’m correct when they cast Juan they role of Kermit was still undecided and he told them he knew the perfect guy
There wasn’t a script, it was just Ant with a hot mic
SAME!!
The funniest part of that (great) movie is that his character’s name is Kermit.
If a guy named Kermit was trash talking me in the court I’d get mad too ngl 😂
Ant joking around, meanwhile Steph is trapped in podzgatory
Out of Kumingatory and into the Pods
Let’s be real, it’s been the 9th Circle of Dray for like 5 years
Lmao too true Podz and Kuminga aint shot when he gotta deal wit Braymond forever
For a second I thought Steph was playing and this was an in game rivalry
Yeah, title got me hyped for Steph’s return for a moment. Nope, apparently he’s showing Steph while Steph is on the bench.
lol ain’t nobody in this sub actually watching games
Watching what?
So silver was right?
“His own medicine” meanwhile Steph in the comfiest maroon zip up. I’d say 3⁄10 ragebait at best. Your highlight reel is showing Steph on the bench?
Ant’s jumper is so smooth
He was like the pokemon that said imma learn this skill and able turn himself straight into someone else
You mean Ditto?
“I’m not in the mood Ant”
That’s honestly hilarious lol.
Steph created a monster… 🤣
Haha, Ant looked him down and Steph wasn’t having it.
Ant’s shot is wet bruh
Love his personality
Ant shoulda hit a Curry shimmy
I dunno Steph woulda turned around when the ball was in the air.
Ant definitely play too much
Top tier camera work there
I feel bad for Steph, this Warriors team for his sunset years is fuckin’ ass. It’d be one thing if it was all old players getting old, but like, it’s just the donkey and a bunch of bum younger players.
It’s really fine lol. A lot of legends finish their careers on bad teams!
Steph doesn’t need any pity, he practically got to run the Western Conference/league for half a decade. He had an amazing career and accomplished more than 99% of players ever will.
Instead, feel bad for all of the great players who missed their shot at ever becoming a legend in the first place due to injuries or front office mismanagement.
Too fucking bad, all these old players getting paid like they are in their prime and they wonder why the team is ass.
For real, Steph made his bed. Duncan took discounts and made the Finals in his late 30s. Steph took the biggest contract in the history of the game and is stuck on a perennial 9th seed. It’s not unrelated.
man u cant force a uncontested corner 3 in da world
Jumper is nice, per usual. Steph’s reaction/face will be clipped forever. All time reaction.
Was expecting a shimmy ngl
Should’ve done the shimmy in front of him
I don’t get it. He hit a three and Steph hits threes, so that’s his own medicine? It really looks like Steph is just disappointed they’re down 20 at the half. I kinda doubt he gave Ant specifically a second thought.
That Steph reaction has strong meme potential
Did she say Chef Curry?
Travis deserved the shot out, that was a great shot
This is cold i aint gonna lie
That jacket is 10⁄10
God I love Ant.
Steph is not amused
Bc Ant had to see it go through the net before turning around
when i first saw the post title that’s what i expected lol
Steph knows cuz of their time together on team USA
Imagine if Ant had fallen to #2 instead of Wiseman. Warriors would have a couple more championships
God damn I love ant
Right in front of Chef Curry
You know he said something goofy to him too.
If Lakers & Warriors end up as 1st round exits, in what scenario could LBJ & Curry team up for a retirement tour? 🤔
That’s some good camera work
All I hear is “Chef Curry”
In slow motion it really looks like ant stepped out
man i wish he woulda shimmied!! shimmy all over that motherfucker
Love Harland giving the cameraman praise
He stepped out of bounds
Steph to the Clippers confirmed
Chef curry with the pot, boy….
It woulda been too much, but would haves loved to see the Night Night.
What ANT say?
One is not like the other, yet. Sorry ant. Steph all time. You may only be yet.
She said Chef Curry twice, bro doesn’t even know who Steph Curry is
He’s supposed to stare down before it goes in. That’s real shooting confidence.
lol reminds me of this last season
Just missing the Night Night celly.
whatever he totally watched the shot go in when Steph would’ve been halfway back down the floor already
And Steph just waves his four rings.
He said something to him..it wasn’t just the shot.
I just want the Wolves to win one.
deserved.
Who?
Nah he looked the whole time
It is pretty impressive that he made that shot in the glare of all those rings.
“Is this what I’ve been doing to people all this time? Man, I’m an asshole.”
Fuck em
He’s sick of it isn’t he. Next year’s his last.
Fuck I missed this thinking they had only one game on
Got emm
Steph just needs to leave GS and come to Indy, he can bring his brother too!
