[Highlight] Jaylen Brown trips over Lu Dort’s right foot and concedes the turnover. SGA dashes up the court with the steal.
Happens right in front of the ref and still no call. And Thunder fans are surprised why the every team hates them.
I would love to love the Thunder.
A team of young players playing really good basketball with one of the best players alive as their scoring ace.
But i just cant like a team which has Lu Dort on it. If real life was a movie he would be the antagonist on the team playing against the protagonist. Who was trained to win at any cost and hears his dad shout from the sidelines “TAKE HIM OUT!!” and then continue to purposefully injure the protagonist.
Dort is like 6 4”, has absolutely garbage stats on horrific efficiency yet is a starter on a team with really good two way guards. Everyone knows what he’s being paid to do and it’s not to average single digit points on 40% shooting.
watching him and caruso with their hands all over everyone and very few calls except when it was totally egregious and then seeing FTA fling his arms at people and get 2 free throws was pretty frustrating.
Holy shit this has to be a copy pasta lmao actual peak reddit
it was a nice sneaky kick tbf. I missed it in real time
Bah humbug, in my day the goons kicked with panache
Holy shit lmao
lol it’s the fact they can’t just say we got away with it they’ll claim it’s clean.
I get dogged on this sub for calling this out as a wolves fan. Everyone sees it except OKC fans
No it’s just cause people are jealous of greatness. People just aren’t ready to celebrate the most dominant player since Wilt. /s
And they’ll say people are just jealous of their success and compare themselves to the fucking warriors lmao
Ahhh, finally, my team is not the most hated in a category: “have generational offensive player and generational offensive player”
Just behind the arc so no penalty shot for Brown. Yellow card for Dort and direct kick for the Celtics
Brown is down at the free throw line, 2nd down with 4 yards to go
Looked like a ground rule double to me
I’ve had enough, everybody gets 5min in the box
Five second penalty for Ocon.
A free throw is actually 5 yards, must have gotten a good spot
direct kick for the Celtics
Yeah, a direct kick for the Celtics to Lu Dort’s nuts aka The Draymond
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvi0d5LVoNY
If we hit the bullseye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards… Checkmate.
[ Removed by Reddit ]
Wrong sport mate. We haven’t even started spring training yet.
Trips over his foot. Aka a foul.
He kicks his leg lol. Very much a foul
Dort throws his hands up immediately because he knows he tripped brown lmao
Exactly. Watched it in slow mo and he trips him on purpose. Not that anyone will be surprised
You even watch the video? I dont like Dort either but that looks incidental to me. Should probably still be called a foul tho cuz this isn’t motorsports
Go watch the video a few more times to see him very intentionally kicking his leg out to trip him lol
IMO it’s really tough to say. It’s not really black and white between purposeful and an accident, it’s often “I’m not trying to trip him, but there’s a good chance I do, and I’m okay with that”. This is how a lot of good defenders operate—they don’t just gamble on swipes, they gamble with steps and with contact.
That is 100% not a normal running motion just look at his stride on every other step.
Except for Dort. Dort’s normal running motion is trying to trip somebody.
He did it on purpose he kicks his foot out
He’s a world-class athlete, he has incredible body control, he is absolutely aware of what he’s doing when he kicks his foot out just that little bit.
Yeh. It’s pretty obvious to me. He tries to make it look like a normal step but nobody kicks out their foot like that while running . Idk how anyone missed it. He does this shit all the time now.
Yeah and the fact he threw his hands up immediately is telling, he knew he’d get heat, where if it was genuinely incidental he wouldn’t react and would just play
100% an intentional kick.
yeah, put it in 0.5 speed and you can clearly see his leg accelerate in the direction of a kicking motion, distinct from his normal moving motion. Its very subtle, legitimately impressive move by Dort.
this is one of those variables thats hard to define but that is the reason certain players have big BPM impact without stats reflecting it. hes a professional at giving maximum physicality without being seen as fouling in real-time. if that makes sense
Watch it and pay attention to how he is moving before and after. That is 100% not his natural running movement, it wasn’t a spartan kick but he did kick at Brown.
Slow it down and watch how his right leg should move straight forward but he moves it directly toward JB. I mean, it could just be the angle but that looks intentional
I don’t think it looks intentional either tbh. But Dort kinda loses the benefit of the doubt on shit like this. As a certified Thunder hater, I’m going to ignore what my eyes see and say it was intentional.
I took it as him bragging that he was able to foul Brown without using his hands, innovative stuff
Like a kid getting a taste of stolen candy, Dort will be back for more trips and failing back arm swings.
That’s the universal soccer language for “Didn’t touch him bruv!”
What do you expect from Dirt
Trips because Dort kicked his ankle. So very very much a foul
Dort tripped him like at least 3 times in very similar fashion during the game. Definitely intentional.
But but but I thought he was a hypocritical flopper
That’s a foul in soccer/football too lol
I’ve also been thinking about getting into rage baiting myself..
Edit: what kind of aura does that farm? Or does it matter? I’m trying to understand why people would be shitty humans for the sake of getting looked at.. I’m probably too old for this shit but got a young one to speak to that really needs to alter his generation from this shit..
Tf are you talking about
Intentional or not Dort deserves whatever the opposite of the benefit of the doubt is loll
presumed guilt?
just too often to be coincidental, and either way it’s still a foul
Burden of the truth, and yes he does
As a person who has played basketball it would be more energy to swing your hips/foot widely and wildly. If he didn’t want to foul brown he wouldn’t have fouled brown
As a person who has swung their hips and foot widely and wildly, do you want to dance?
As a person who has tried their best to ‘dance’, are we talking swing or bboy or good ol’ ball room?
Either way, I can’t do any.
Dort should start every game with 2 fouls or a technical
Two Ts would be the best
Intent doesn’t matter, but to add to it, it looks clearly intentional.
After a while, instance after instance after instance just becomes a pattern instead.
Nothing like Lu Dort engagement farming
Regardless of whether it was intentional, that’s an obvious missed foul that’s almost always called.
It’s definitely a foul, but I don’t really see how this is “obvious”. It’s not a normal trip where someone steps on a foot, Dort’s foot briefly touches Brown’s while they’re both in the air. It interrupted Brown enough to make him fall, but their feet are only in contact for like 1 frame of this slowed down video. The refs also aren’t seeing it from this angle where nothing is obstructing the view.
maybe dort should play basketball and not be a linebacker?
Nothing like another dirty dort play
Trip?
aye, that be the term
If you slide the bar on slow mo he looks guilty as fuck lol
Sure looks like it
Dort’s kick out seems really intentional when you slow that down to 0.5x
Yeah i thought it was incidental at first but the direction is so weird. It was basically instinctual for him
he was practically goose stepping!
I’d be shocked if he started playing not to hurt other stars
Almost everything looks intentional when you slow it way down.
Everything is intentional when you are Lu dort
In real time Dorts foot twitches towards Brown, and he definitely tried putting his foot under Brown
You cant see this and say it was not intentional. Lu Dirt strikes again
Biggest POS in the league strikes again.
Watch it frame by frame and tell me his leg doesn’t extend past what his usual running gait would be be. I straight up think he did it deliberately he’s got zero credit anymore.
Its very obviously intentional
Also throwing his hands up to act innocent is a dead giveaway.
Anyone who has played a decent lick of basketball knows it’s intentional and unnatural
The way his foot turns away from the direction he’s turning is a dead giveaway
Yall and these weird ass narratives. Dort hasn’t been playing cleanly by any means recently but if you think he intentionally kicked out his foot in this SLOWED down video then there’s no saving you
Shut it thunder fan
Dude you’re just wrong. Dort absolutely trips him intentionally. He does it subtlety but it ain’t an accident
Bro stop buying into the narratives. You’re watching a slowed down video. Do you really think in real time Dort is tryna to go around the screen, stay attached to Brown, and he thinks, “oh I’m going to trip him right here.” Yall don’t just think stuff like this happens sometimes where people can trip in an intense basketball game. I’m not going to try and defend stuff like him tripping Jokic because he is 100% in the wrong for that, but you’re just letting this narrative cloud you’re mind and letting every single instance of him have a bad image in your head for some reason
Nope. You’re just blind.
Then respond to my take with actual reasoning
Ur a small pathetic part of the problem with NBA discourse today. Yall try to find negatives within EVERYTHING. It’s hard to be a fan within this community sometimes
I don’t even care about losing. Y’all are very good. And maybe if the trip doesn’t happen the game ends the same way. But this dirty shit is frustrating to say the least
This whole narrative around Lu is stupid asf bro. He plays the game more physical and hyperactive than people like and everybody has a problem with it. The one with Jokic where he tripped him was certainly bad. Otherwise these other handpicked clips people have of him are by zero means intentional. I’ve seen almost every Thunder game for a few years. Lu is not dirty. He just plays on the edge a ton and makes a ton of stupid plays sometimes. That’s just the way he plays though. On offense you can tell he has a lack of body control with his handle and footwork being pretty bad, and his boneheadedness isn’t exclusive to physicality, his offensive IQ ain’t bright either.
As a Thunder fan I’m sorry for whatever injuries he might have caused but that’s just basketball and sports at the end of the day. What I won’t apologize for is him playing physical and out of control, that’s what brings value to Lu, and what won us a championship.
We’re not interpreting some cryptic comment here. There’s a video of him swinging his leg outside of a normal motion as Brown blows him. This isn’t an isolated incident for Dort. Sorry but your bias is blinding you here
The only yall are saying he did all this extra stuff in this clip is because it’s slowed down. None of these comments would be saying this if we saw it in real time. Yall clearly don’t play sports at all.
If you’re tryna stay attached to someone you’re gonna exaggerate your movement in order to stay attached even if a screen hits you. In a competitive sport of course people are gonna trip and fall like this. It should’ve been a foul but there was certainly nothing malicious about this.
I’m not being biased either, if someone like Draymond who I believe is far worse and intentional with his antics was the one who tripped Brown in this clip, I maybe wouldn’t be defending him in the comments like I am with Dort, but I would think yall in the comments are crazy for thinking that this sort of play has any sort of maliciousness in it. We can probably pick out other moments like this that happen in the NBA pretty frequently, it’s just YALL who are clearly biased and letting this narrative drive into your head. You don’t think you’re acting biased as a Celtics fan right now?
You have no take except “Don’t believe the evidence you’ve seen over and over.” That’s not a take. That’s just lying. Liar. You are a fucking liar.
Tf does that even mean…
I’m literally saying look at the evidence in real time and you can see there’s no malicious attempt in what he’s trying to do except for a few inexcusable times.
A Laker fan shouldn’t be talking as well. Marcus Smart is pretty similar playstyle wise to Dort and has some ticky tacky plays
Black ember has no light except gas.
Dort hasn’t been playing cleanly by any means recently
You mean the last two years lol
If that was intentionally sus than Dort is in the matrix right now… that was either nothing or very slick
It’s a damn shame people keep accidentally getting hurt on Lu Dort’s totally uncontrolled flailing.
These are some of the best athletes in the world with the greatest body control of any human beings - especially as basketball players. This consistently occurs like this, of course it’s intentional
Lu Dirt strikes again
Its a missed call, and honestly I don’t blame them for this. Its subtle and doesn’t look like there was a good angle from either sideline.
This is the tamest Lu Dort video.
Should have been called a foul but not dirty at all. Just hard basketball. (Although rare for Dort.)
Intentional kick is not dirty? huh?
Play the video on 0.5x speed.
This is either Lu Dort kicking someones leg out from under them.
Or hes just a general injury hazard with how his body moves.
Boys, is 1 foot in front of the other dirty now?
Boys, is my bias making me intentionally stupid?
that seems to be the case
It is!
How hilariously ironic, like you realise he’s talking about you/OKC fans and not himself lmao
Thanks, Magic!
Depending on the food in front of the other is moving sideways to intentionally hit another players foot that is behind their other food.
It really isnt complicated.
https://imgur.com/a/4WEwp9U
What about kicking way out to the side for no reason?
I get why it looks this way, but if Lu did this on purpose, he would have some ninja reflexes. I think it’s too hard to do something like that so smoothly on purpose.
I think he realized Brown got the beat on him and he wouldnt be able to catch up, so he moved his foot to move in under Brown rather than putting it down to chase in a straight line towards the basket.
We’ll never know for sure bro.
Except that we do know. Look at the video. Look at any of the videos of Lu Dort doing this kind of stuff, every match, constantly.
If it was a coincidense then there wouldnt be so many incidents of it happening. There are many many players in the NBA and almost none of them have stuff like this happening on a regular basis.
I don’t like Lu as a player, and I think he plays dirty at times. But now everyone is just looking at every shit he does way too closely. If this happened to any other player (shit like this happens a lot), nobody would be talking about it
You just stick your leg out when you realize the guy is getting by you. Not really that hard
Obviously never played sports at a serious level yourself. Everybody is moving fast af
But you can tell when you’re out of position
Fuck Lu Dort. And fuck OKC fans that defend his behavior. Even Warriors fans were able to admit that Draymond plays dirty.
this isn’t a dirty play, is it? it’s completely reasonable to defend dort against stupid accusations.
C’mon, it’s AT BEST a 50⁄50 that Dort trips him on purpose here and its a foul either way. He no longer gets benefit of the doubt.
There is nothing natural about this motion: https://imgur.com/a/4WEwp9U
okc fans are supposed to be the stupid ones.
I’m a GSW fan, i know all about stupid fans. Some of us still defend Draymond too!
There’s no way you’re actually that delusional.
lol pacers fans are always good for an absolutely stupid take.
Looked like dort kicked him, and since its dort, he shouldn’t get benefit of the doubt…
That was 100% intentional. He swings his leg outward before planting his foot. Not accidental or natural, it was calculated, cheap, and dirty. I wish the league would suspend players that deliberately trip and injure other players.
There’s all this talk about shortening the season to lower the risk of injuries. How about getting rid of this guy that goes around kicking star players’ legs?
Definitely got away with one there. One of many missed calls both ways this game and in every game, not really sure what is of note here specifically tbh
Nothing, just more bitching from the peanut gallery.
Probably that it’s clearly intentional
“Outlaw” crying about something so soft
Clumsy oaf or wily trickster? You be the judge.
Wily trickster, you mean dirty ass player?
Dort is legit gross
I was hoping for an ink skid mark on the court.
honestly SGA’s whistle notwithstanding Dort is the real reason to hate The Thunder.
You guys in this sub know that there are 30 teams in the NBA, multiple games every night, right? And that the refs are very inconsistent and miss and get multiple calls wrong every single game, literally every single game. Just not sure if that is very well known, a lot of you think this only happens to the Thunder apparently
It’s why that ring don’t count
So, Dort kicked him.
no yall don’t get it. it’s just a coincidence that all this extra contact happens to this one guy
Dort is a terrorist
Why are we posting highlights from a day ago? What are we doing here?
This aint basketball
In real time it’s so hard to see, but when you slow it down it looks pretty obvious. I really hate Dort.
Slick mfr kicked his heel on purpose but that’s stealthy fr
Dirty player does something dirty i am shocked i tell you
Dort needs to get kicked out of the league. He is a disgrace.
Flagrant 1 at the least
Dort is the new Draymond. It’s like the Wire. Everything is a cycle
Does that make me omar and your dad brandon?
Don’t worry the Thunder fan burner accounts will come in and tell you this is just an innocent basketball play and not a foul.
Fuck OKC and fuck these refs.
https://videos.nba.com/nba/pbp/media/2026/03/12/0022500959/63/603724ee-d78a-f301-615c-690de1a6fd72_1280x720.mp4
Brown kicked Shai’s heel on this play. Walsh also tripped Shai at the 1:12 mark in the 3Q, but the refs did not call foul on both. You guys don’t even notice things that don’t fit into your narratives. Foot-to-foot contact is always missed, no matter the player.
Jaylen Brown had almost as many FTAs as our entire team. I believe your username might be relevant here
Considering he actually attacks the basket without shying away from contact and without flopping, unlike you bums, that’s what should be happening.
Look at the wee lad, all in a tizzy.
What I am wondering about is the NBA is obviously completely deflating the value of mostly scoring superstars that used to be the basis in how they marketed the league.
So they got Luka Doncic to the Lakers, but what now? What is the Lakers path to acquiring the 6-6 long athletic defenders who can complementary to his game?
On the other hand, every team now, even small market teams, can just try to load up on 6-6 or taller athletes, since many of these guys can also shoot, drive to the basket, and pass. I can see multiple Charlotte Hornets arising in the next few years.
That was 100% intentional
„Trips“
Hilarious way to say fouled by Dort.
Im so glad this was a blowout game and that missed/blown call didnt have a direct impact on the outcome of the game…….. Oh hang onnnn….
Lu Dort should be suspended for his constant bullshit. Would love for him to get clocked by Steven Adams.
I must be even more jealous after seeing this one Windy. Real jealous no one else can break the rules.
How does Dort keep getting away with kicking people legs out
yea this team is a bunch of talented, pure hustle players. they don’t rely on whistle, and dirty plays.
We are in year 3 of OKC defenders being allowed to stay in the body of the offense with a lot of shit like this getting uncalled because “physicality”. While the other team are not allowed to touch skinny Shai or skinny Chet.
The most ref assisted team in history. Unserious league.
Shai would have lost the advantage if the ref had called a foul there. It was a great non-call by the ref.
You have a clip of the other play?
Foot to foot contact can be missed. But they consistenly call everything in Shai’s favor. How many times have we seen him get calls without any contact at all? Countless times. Refs favor him.
https://videos.nba.com/nba/pbp/media/2026/03/12/0022500959/625/9ea6c1d4-3dec-2c4a-467f-04fb5be2f1f0_1280x720.mp4
Brown lost control on a spin move and got call for foot-to-foot contact. If you see Shai got calls without any contact countless times, show me the clips. You can show me countless clips of that happening.
I don’t have to show you any clips. I know you have seen it if you watch OKC games.
That’s a soft call. I’m surprised Brown got that one. OKC don’t really get soft calls called on their defense.
I watched every games Shai played. And I saw him get called without any contact a handful of times. They are all just Shai tripped himself. Yet, many people said these were flops. You have to show me the countless clips. It’s obvious just by watching this game, but Brown is far worse than Shai in terms of dribbling, footwork, and basketball IQ. He just drives straight at defenders and can’t manipulate them into illegal guarding positions. You guys think the amount of contact determines whether it’s a foul but it’s doesn’t. Everyone is allowed to play physical defense when in a legal guarding position. No one is allowed to do that when in an illegal guarding position. Watch the game and learn before talking nonsense.
These threads make for great reading, thanks everyone
Natural running form
they call that foul 99% of the time, but since it’s Brown and the scrub Dort, they won’t call it.
He can’t keep getting away with this.
Dort needs to be banned
Hairline smudge on Isiah joes shoe
I’d also like to comment on SGAs sick carry. I wish the NBA would clean this up.
Literally every missed call that benefits the thunder gets clipped and posted, and just crickets for missed calls that go the other way. Just watch the games and enjoy them, Jesus.
Yeah, with all the fake narratives being lobbed at the Thunder, it’s really turning into a “boy who cried wolf” situation for me. Even if it’s Dort, the fact that I’m clearly being primed to default to a particular interpretation just makes me want to pump the brakes. I resent how facile and manipulative these clips and their “discussion” threads are.
this sub hates basketball
Good God yall are reaching hard on this one.
They made up the call on the very next possession.
Definitely a missed foul but I don’t see what people are seeing to call this intentional. Looks like a pretty standard tangle of feet
Y’know, a few games back Shai was tripped the same way with no foul called…
Obvious missed foul and not an intentional trip by Dort.
Watch the way he kicks his leg and immediately upon contact comes back. This is why everyone hates yall. You look at this clear and obvious shit, then go wtf idk I can’t see anything, whyyyy does everyone hate us??
I agree with the other comments here. Despite playing yall in the finals I WANT so badly to like yall. But this shit is so annoying.
My guy or gal, this is the Internet lol. I do not care if people hate me for basketball of all things, if anything that speaks for their own character. I loved how the Pacers played very physical defense like ours, it made a very interesting match up.
Anyways for the Dort thingy, he probably put his leg back pretty instantly since Brown fell and didn’t want to bring attention to the accidental trip that would have been a foul. That’s just my take though.
Dort “probably” meant to trip, as he literally just blatantly did to Jokic last week. Lie to yourself however you want dude. You can see he pointed his foot toward him. If you’re turning a corner while running, you have your foot angled toward yourself, especially while chasing down an opponent. Live I could see, hmm maybe it was an accident. Once I went frame by frame it was VERY clear.
Stop lying to yourself about it.
Did I defend Dort’s trip against Jokic a few weeks back, no I didn’t. You seem to be suffering from generalization and bias. If you go FRAME by FRAME with the thought that every single movement has to have a dirty motive, it’s not shocking you came to the conclusion.
I’m not lying to myself, trips happen all the time in basketball, mostly clean since basketball tends to use the legs A LOT. Do I think Dort’s trip against Jokic a few weeks back was clean…no, I was pretty clear about it. Do I think this one is clean, yes. It was accidental. Trips tend to happen when a player is beat and makes a move to catch up (either through invading the offensive player’s space or speeding up their movements), that’s what happened to Dort on this specific play.
Anyways, last reply, so have a great day or night (whichever time zone you may be in).
FUCK THIS DIRTY PIECE OF SHIT!!
