Duncan Robinson had a pretty funny analogy on the Young Man and the Three podcast when he spoke about the big Pistons Hornets brawl last month.

“It didn’t look like I was down for the cause,” Robinson said. “I learned my lesson– next time I’m going to grab someone, at least fake it, kind of get in the mix. I felt like it was like helping Bill Nye with a science project, like he’s got it taken care of, you know what I mean? There was nothing that I was going to bring to that situation that he wasn’t already handling.”

I read Wayne Gretzky’s book when I was a kid. He talked about learning really early to find make friends with the other non-bruisers on his opponents’ teams so they could find each other during a brawl and just sort of hold each other’s arms so everyone would think they were a part of the fight.
