[DARKO] The worst lineups in the NBA this season, when adjusting for opponents: 1) The Brooklyn Nets starters. 2) LeBron-Ayton-Luka-Rui-Reaves.
Often times, when looking at lineups, you have this situation where a lot of the good or bad lineups by raw Net Rating are only there because of their opponents. For example, a bench lineup might do well because they get to play against opposing benches - that doesn’t mean they are actually the best lineup in the NBA.
DARKO has a new tool that analyzes lineups, and also takes into account opposing lineup quality. It has some pretty interesting results if you go only single year (NPI). The Lakers are comically bad, surrounded by lottery teams.
