I mean for the Warriors franchise it is damn near impossible to surpass the current franchise record.

Steph’s career high of 62 would place him 17th highest scoring game in Warriors history and the 4th highest player in the franchise history behind Wilt scoring 14 of the top 17 performance while the other two are Joe Fulks and Rick Barry.

What a shame, they aren’t the best anymore. Multiple rings, mvps, fmvps and no franchise records for points in a single game. They ain’t even FT farm unless it’s LeBron complaining to the refs. Still what duds huh…

Uh, this doesn’t really seem surprising or interesting if you know these players at all. Steph obviously has only played for the Warriors where Wilt had the 100 point game. One of the things that stands out about KD is that he specifically ISN’T a high scorer even though he’s one of the best scorers ever. He’s extremely efficient and rarely forces shots, he’s like a machine scoring 20-30 ppg but not more or less. And LeBron is most known for blending elite scoring with elite passing. He can go off, but his game is equally about setting up others to score, rather than maximizing his own scoring. 

Feel like curry could have gone on a heater at any point and broke the record but there were always other mouths to feed 

Im so happy we live in a time where this 83 point game will be in the news cycle for less than 24 hours, after Friday this game will be a footnote in the NBA history. At best it will be a trivia question during heat broadcasts.

The stat padding,the way the wizards were letting him score and backing off playing defense and way Miami were fouling Washington just to get the ball back in the last 20mins of this game was ridiculous and shameless.

I’m far from a ‘basketball purist’ but watching that really tainted this scoring record in my opinion.
