They ignore everything with Luka because of defense or some shit. He’s a better passer, rebounder, scorer, and higher IQ than any of the guys they’re trying to put above him. They act like putting up 32/8/8.5 on 47/36/77 is him falling off. This is pretty much who he’s always been outside of the 24 season, where his shooting went up a level.

He has been really solid defensively for a while now, for what they need from him anyway. Only so much you can ask from your 37% usage rate offensive player trying to win games with some mediocre level role players lets be honest. Laravia is like one of the most important role players on the team and he wouldn’t make the bench on a lot of teams

I genuinely think Luka has been up there as like the 5th best Laker defender after maybe around mid January or so. It’s Smart easily as number 1, then its Vanderbilt but I don’t know if he counts since he gets DNPs and can’t stay on the court due to his offense other than garbage times, then its Jake or Hayes who both get their fair share of getting cooked every now and then. It genuinely could be top 4-6 for them

I disagree, I get that Ant just straight up missed some shots. But the scheme to double him when he got into the midrange worked very well. Lakers were forcing him to make the right pass and he wasn’t executing.
