Just straight homer talk lmao. We have a former 1st team all defense on the bench. Another who will be named this year, and second all team guy who’s played 10 games this season. This is not even mentioning Cason lol. All of whom provide better offensive options than dort. It’s either pay him or ihart and I know who I’m paying ¹⁰⁄₁₀ times. Our defense will be fine and is still great when he’s not on the floor. Our offense is very stagnant when Shai not in the game and even worse when ihart is also out injured.

He has regressed on offense this year. If it was like last year or a couple years ago I’d agree but the reality is he’s been pretty terrible on offense this year. All our other lockdown defenders provide much better offensive utility. If dub was not out for 90% of this year dort would be playing way less.

I don’t think a lot of people grasp how tight this Thunder team is, or how meaningful it all is for all of them to play together. The way they relate to each other feels more like a college team than a group of pros.

He’s also really young, and earning more minutes on a team winning championships. It’s an awesome situation to be in.
