[Highlight] Victor Wembanyama leaps through Sheppard and Kevin Durant for the reverse two-handed dunk
Look at me. I’m the Slim Reaper now
Jaylen Brown was right
So was Jokic
Glad I’ll be gone when Wemby starts his stranglehold of the league
7’5” btw
Im genuinely curious how long those knees are going to stay healthy. Most people around that height have a cane at like 30-40 years old. Wemby just looks like hell be healthy until 50.
The benefit for him honestly is that he legit needs to jump like 4 inches to dunk it—most of his landings will be pretty soft lol
he’s thin like kareem. he might be around for a while.
I think so too.
Chet looks absolutely weak compared to Wemby, I would be more worried about him honestly.
Well Chet has already had two major injuries so it’s pretty much confirmed he is injury prone Wmeby is a more interesting conversation
Chet had 1 concerning injury and it was the lisfranc foot injury during preseason his first year. The 2nd injury was a hip fracture after he fell from a rebound. His knees and ankles are good. Hes not injury prone. If anything he just takes a bunch of painful hits from players. His last hig injury was a back sprain/strain.
People had the same concerns about LeBron. At his peak, he was basically a 250–260 lb locomotive, running and jumping at insane levels while averaging close to 40 minutes a game during his early years and well into his Miami Heat run.
Yet here we are, still watching him plan for his 24th season. No one thought he’d last this long at the time.
Not saying Wembanyama will play that long but one can hope.
Yeah I looked at Zion and said hes basically not going to last. Bet people saw lebron in the same way. Hes an enigma. Wemby is just an enigma of a human being.
Dude was stretching his whole body in the tunnel and working his abs out while the game was live and he was off for a few minutes, dude is gonna be here 100x longer with how he takes care of himself.
For real. How many replays have we seen of him rolling his ankle but he just keeps going as if nothing happened? Most injuries he’s had came from other people (remember the ball boy incident?), except the blood clot thing.
All depends on the workouts and conditioning he does. Which we have seen he’s pretty dedicated in the off season. I’ve also seen it mentioned that the training staff has done a great job of really leaning into “he’s not a normal size, even for the NBA, so we can’t treat him the same” and are playing the long game.
Will it all work? Only time will tell.
He doesnt have a genetic disorder like they do hes just that tall lmao
Bro most people that tall are natural. Youre thinking of those who have an enlarged petuitary gland. Its not that type of conversation. Knees on anyone above 7 feet are very hard to maintain especially in sports fields.
Man gallops across the court like a gazelle and then does a eurostep and then does a reverse two-handed dunk.
My mvp
Bro he looked like he was 6’5 on that break
We are literally watching a 7’4” alien evolve in real-time. This shouldn’t even be physically possible.
The fear in KDs eyes
The future is now, old man
Nah. It’s unfair.
Like a little, yea.
I feel like Wemby couldn’t have existed before now. Sports Medicine couldn’t have kept someone like him healthy before modern advancements
Wemban is toyin w/ Durant
This shouldn’t exist lol
It feels unfair that he can do this
The same unfairness between a NBA average sized player and the commoners we are. Wemby is just doing it to them.
I can dunk on my neft net too.. dude is unfair. He barely jumped.
This guy making it look like driveway ball on a Little Tikes rim against his little brother’s friends the way he just barges down the court with no resistance lol
Zebrah mode
7’5 260!!
260? Everything I can find says 235 (107 kg).
Now google when KAT says it
What are the mortals supposed to do?
Idk how you’re supposed to stop him in transition other than to hit him, especially with today’s gather step rules.
I feel so lucky to have been alive to watch Jordan, Shaq, Kobe, LeBron, Steph, Jokic, and now Wemby.
While this was a great play by him, the defense on this was horrible.
I mean you expect Reed Sheppard to strap on some rocket boots or something?
I want you to go back and watch. KD is late coughing over. Yourself 4 defenders just watching him go through the lane. Come on man.
I can give him his props and pint out at the same time that the defense was trash on that
Edit: Actually there are three defenders back.
Ok so then KD gets dunked on as well. Wouldn’t have made a difference. Seen enough of Wemby doing this, if he picks the ball up with a runway to the lane it’s over.
Man you don’t let a man drive the length of the court with. 4 guys back. Hell someone at least come out and stop the dribble. Make him give up the ball or take a lower percentage shot.
Edit: Actually 3 guys back and one basically running ext to him.
I can’t see his number but the defender to his right by the foul line just stuck his had out. If that’s great defense in your eyes? Ok. I think air of you are caught up on it’s shitting on Wemby to say that defense was bad on a play. Thats not the case. He took advantage of it as any good player should do.
