I’d been saying since last year that I think Scheierman is a player that fits with the stars really, really well. He knows how to do glue stuff like rushing in for rebounds, making those extra passes, attacking the paint when all the attention is off him. I thought last year, Joe was putting him with too many bench players which draws too much attention to him but also thought his defense wasn’t good enough to play enough with the starters. This year, his defense has picked up a lot and his hustle plays are through the roof right now. If he keeps up on his shooting, he’s a legit main bench piece.

I want to shout out Brown’s 8 assists. Dude used to not be able to control his scoring outbursts but now, he has a great sense of when to keep the team moving, when to give Tatum space, and when to grab control. He went on a perfectly timed scoring punch in the 3rd. Team kind of fell into a hole without him on the floor and Garza’s awful defense.
