It will suck despite people having mixed feelings on Vuc. When he was on the court the Celtics were destroying teams during his minutes. Luka Garza has been pretty good this year and where I think there is a drop-off I don’t think it will be massive. Especially with the fact with Tatum back Vucevic’s defensive rebounding will be slightly less needed.

Hopefully he gets healthy by the playoffs and the Celtics can make their choice of what Center they want to play. I still think the best possible version of this Celtics team has Vuc playing 20 minutes off the bench.

He should be fine for the playoffs. May even be one of those little blessing in disguise things to get rest for the 35 year old big man leading up to postseason.

And yes he will be valuable as he gives the team a totally different dimension in the playoffs that makes game planning harder for opponents.

It just tough for chemistry. Tatum has played zero minutes with Vuc, and the rest of the team hasn’t played much with him either.

If he was on the team the whole year I would agree with the blessing in disguise, but for chemistry it’s a little rough.

They’ve both been around the league for years and Vuc is pretty plug and play . I don’t think they’ll have issues getting adjusted with eachother .

Eh - Vuc isn’t a very intricate player to deal with - much like Horford last couple of years, he’ll be standing around the 3-point line a lot when he’s in with Tatum.

Vuc doesn’t really get in the way of other players games. He has his issues but chemistry isn’t one of them.

Even crazier is we just got Tatum back who is the only person on this team who could have given Vuc an actual timely entry pass… That was about to be an elite secondary offense when brown sat down.. Tatum to vuc down low with Prichard/Shireman spacing the floor…

As long as he’s back by the playoffs it’s all good. Queta has been great all season and stepped it up even more over the last couple weeks, Garza has 57/43/75 splits off the bench, and it will be nice to see Amari Williams get some more run, he’s been dominating in the g-league.

Personally I prefer Garza’s minutes with the bench unit. Vooch is more skilled, but Garza fits the bench ethos of playing hard, physicality, and offensive rebounding.
