It’s just an espn thing. They never explained what the tech was for in the 1st. Mike Malone said the Celtics were in the west multiple times. They totally mis identified a guy on the Mavs as someone who I don’t know who they thought he was.

It was a flippant comment. I listen to enough podcasts to know that that is the reality. You talk enough for a living and not everything is going to be completely accurate. Mistakes happen. Drew’s call of the last 2 plays of the half for Tatum was great. Just stopped talking and let the crowd do it for him. That’s a great announcer. I dont need you to do all of your catch phrases. Let me embrace the moment and feel like I’m there
This happens every time they cover the game. It felt like I was leaving a show with no earplugs because of how loud the crowd was all through the night. From Flagg being announced, to Tatum’s intro, to his first buckets, it was easily as loud if not louder than any big playoff game in there.
Except when that kid was dancing his heart out on the jumbotron, the crowd went absolutely wild. That kid’s energy was awesome.

Not going to lie, I was a little nervous with how Tatum started but man, that sequence where he got his first points and then hit the 3… fucking electric. Felt like a playoff game. The crowd was just waiting to erupt.

I was listening to Drew and Scal. Loved it!! And for a hot minute in the 4th qtr, I thought Tatum might get a triple double. 😱😎👍. But what a fantastic first game back!! Love how him being out there opens the floor for everyone!!
there was a point where he has a shot at a scoreless double double. finished the half 5-5-5. if this didn’t turn into a blowout I think he stays in and gets it.
