NEW STORY: Jayson Tatum was filled with gratitude after making his season debut, but gave the most credit to one person: his trainer Nick Sang: “He’s had the biggest role… I can never say thank you enough to him.”
Gratitude from all of Boston. Working that hard to get back is some crazy willpower. It an honor to watch someone who loves the game and his teams as much as Tatum does.
Un-Sang hero
Trainers - physical rehabilitation experts - are a drastically underrated part of any team’s success.
JT showing wisdom and maturity here, giving Nick Sang praise and recognition for his efforts.
PT and OTs rock!
Drew Hanlen in shambles
Give Nick Sang a damn statue now
Does Drew Hanlen not work with Tatum anymore?
Hanlen is a shooting coach and has many other clients. Nick Sang has been Tatum’s personal trainer for years.
Being filled with gratitude doesn’t eliminate the problems. I feel like tatum has lost all explosiveness. Watch him jump. Every time he purposely lands on his good leg. This is not a good sign
No shit he lands on his good leg at first lmao. It’s a mental hurdle he needs to get over.
He should have gotten over that hurdle months ago. He’s been jumping for 6 months. Usually when players come back from injury and they favor a leg they are never able to get over it
Jumping in practice lmao
How did he look on his two dunks
😂😂 ok who are those players who came back from an achilles tear that “favored a leg” and didnt get over it dr. sluwecki
Kobe for starters
Good thing tatum took longer than kobe on his return
Kobe was also like 8 years old than Tatum wtf is this lmao
You have to be 13 years old to write some stupid shit like this
I’m just saying kobe did the exact same thing when he came back and he was never able to get over it. In fact he was never the same again
Guess it’s a good thing he isn’t Kobe. He’s Jayson Tatum.
He copies kobe every step of the way. A Celtics player should never have a tattoo of a laker but tatum does.
Imagine thinking JT idolising Kobe has anything to do with his recovery. What, do you believe he’s choosing to land on his good leg because Kobe did it? lmao
Some of things I read on this website, think I’ve seen it all now.
Did you honestly think he was going to look like he was as good as new, squeaky clean, no repercussions?
You realize this is a human being, right? And there’s a mental component to recovery that can’t be simulated in the gym?
When kobe came back he favored the good leg in the same way and kobe never got over it
Kobe was 8 years older then Tatum and that injury happened damn near 20 years ago
Tatum has a kobe tattoo.
Ok?
Tatum has copied kobe every step of the way. A Celtic should never have a tattoo of a Laker. I’m just saying I’m a bit nervous. Kobe was never the same after his turn Achilles
Yea but Tatum idolizing Kobe has nothing to do with the very important differences between between their injuries. The surgery and recovery methods available to Tatum didn’t even exist when Kobe tore his Achilles, and it cannot be understated how huge the difference between 27 and 35 is in terms of recovering from an injury like that.
I get being nervous, I do. But Tatum last night was far, far closer to he was before the injury then Kobe ever got for the rest of his career after his. I truly have the utmost confidence he’s going to return to full form, it sounds like he truly put the work in and took advantage of every bit of modern medicine and recovery knowledge that he could.
The Celtics and Tatums team would not let him be on the court if they didn’t have the utmost confidence that his Achilles was fully healed and he was ready. If he’s been running full contact 5 on 5 for a month, that means the Achilles has been fully, 100% healed for at least that long. Longer if what Ive learned about the recovery process is to be believed.
Your issue was expectation. Did you really think he would enter his first live game action after one of the worst sports injuries he could have endured and would look 100% himself and comfortable?
What an awful take lmao.
This is like the third post this morning I see you spewing a bad take. This has to be a bit your doing, I haven’t seen a profile with every single comment made downvoted to hell in a while
Edit: damn reading through some comments you’re kind of a racist too
