TLDW: Pablo has the original whistleblower complaint (from 2023, which predates his reporting) which led to the criminal charges related to Aspiration. In that complaint, the whisteblower/affiant alleged, under penalty of perjury, that the Clippers used Aspiration as a vehicle “to circumvent the NBA’s salary cap, disguised as an organic marketing sponsorship agreeement.”

Complaint revealed around the 40:00 mark. Paragraph in question at around 44:06

We investigated ourselves (Adam Silver works for the owners, including Ballmer) and found ourselves innocent.

That’s nasty work basically the investigators are in ballmers payroll and they’ve been investigating the aspiration former employees but not been asked specifically about ballmer.

When Pablo showed those government documents that implicated Balmer… that was it.

For anyone who didn’t watch the livestream, 2 years before Pablo was tipped off to this developing story, whistleblowers from Aspiration filed federal complaints with the SEC (the documents just got revealed by Pablo today) alleging Aspiration was committing fraud and the money from the Clippers was used specifically to circumvent the NBA Salary cap and pay Kawhi Leonard.

Damn. Complaints made by SEC whistleblowers are supposed to be witness-protection level top secret, yet someone leaked them to Pablo. Whoever tipped him off to this story and is his source for all this must really hate Ballmer and company.

So in the original whistleblower complaint that ended with Sanberg in prison, the whistleblower used the Kawhi contract as one example of Aspiration’s fraudulent practices, alleging that it was for cap circumvention.

Oh my goodness Pablo has a smoking gun. The madman.

C. Other Examples of Aspiration’s Fraud

a. Los Angeles Clippers $32 Million Escrow Account

In June 2022, Aspiration reached a \(32 million agreement with the Los Angeles Clippers to create an escrow account and draw on the funds to purchase specific carbon offsets from specific projects on behalf of the Clippers to offset their emissions. Aspiration used only \)1.4 million to purchase carbon credits pursuant to the agreement. Of the S20 million that Aspiration drew from the escrow account, most was used to pay for carbon credits to satisfy other agreements, cither for past agreements with the Clippers or to satisfy agreements with other customers, and to pay for Aspiration’s operating costs, and even to pay Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard an incentivized bonus to circumvent the NBA’s salary cap, disguised as an organic marketing sponsorship agreement.

HOLY SHIT. This is the whistleblower document. So that was in there the whole time??? Thats a fucking bomb

Ballmer and Kawhi not only circumvented the NBA salary cap, but they also used Aspiration as a money laundering middle man to put 10s of millions of dollars in Kawhi’s pocket. They circumvented federal and state taxes by using carbon credits as the vehicle to get the money from Ballmer to Kawhi.

Like I keep saying, the reasona why almost all the other NBA teams are not bothered by the allegations are 1) they know they were never in the running for Kawhi, only the LA teams were and 2) Kawhi on the Clippers was more to market the team going into their own arena, hopefully becoming their own team rather than parasiting Los Angeles.

A similar argument applies to why would the rest of the league not care about Luka being sent to the Lakers in exchange for Cooper Flagg to the Mavs: The Lakers weren’t being gifted a championship contending team, they have simply been given a player who can lift the Lakers to a level where they can be marketed for everyone else’s benefit. Everyone makes more money when the Lakers are at least decent. Neither were the Mavs gifted a championship contending team with just Flagg.

I am sure Ballmer and Kawhi were involved in this. But the way Pablo has been releasing news feels less ‘journalism’ and more ‘keep watching my channel guys’. Something about the later videos is not substantial enough and hurts his credibility more imo.

Edit: I do think Ballmer should be punished guys I am not speaking for him, just saying Pablo’s first couple of videos were more informative. Saying the nba lawyers did not consult me or did not bring up Steve to 5 parties is not as damning as the first couple of videos..
