[Highlight] 41 year old Lebron James is the fastest player on the court as he ties Kareem Abdul Jabbar for All-time FG made
Gimme 10 more years.
[removed]
it’s shocking how much athleticism he still has.
50-yr old LeBron James dunks over Anthony Edwards Jr. with an assist from Nikola Jokic Jr.
Bronny James out the league before LeBron James
Bryce can carry the family legacy afterwards #UpAndComer
League can’t handle two Mac McClung’s
“You know what? Here goes 10 more for yall”
imagine being a rookie and getting outran by a guy who’s been in the league since before you were born 😂
Getting smoked by a dude born in the 80s would be demoralising.
Season 2 of Stranger Things takes place around the time LeBron was born.
Lebron started playing in the NBA well before Millie Bobbie Brown was born
Lebron James’ birth was closer to the end of the civil war than it was to now
WW2
The war of Northern Aggression LeBron Hair Recession?
He wasn’t just born in the 80s, he’s old enough to actually remember them. If he was born just a few months earlier he would’ve started kindergarten in the 80s lmao.
I mean at this point even if you’re born in 89 you’re going into the back half of your 30’s, as a rookie getting out ran by a 36 or 37 year old would still suck.
But yeah Lebron is way above even that curve.
Not in running
No one is outran here though. Yes he technically runs faster than everyone else but that’s because no one is covering LeBron or even realizes he’s there till the very end
My statement is general
He’s gotta be an abandoned government super soldier there’s no other explanation
Yes he’s on PEDs but so is everyone else
I’ve always half jokingly said if god came down and asked me there was one man who was made in a lab you have one guess who is it? My answer would be LeBron without hesitation
I know wilt was a freak but I wasn’t around to see him, I’ve never seen anyone remotely like lebron
Yoel Romero, too, for those who know.
Just looked that guy up and if I’m reading his record on Wikipedia correctly, he made his fighting debut in 1997 and is somehow still fighting.
He took up bareknuckle boxing last year.
For those who don’t know:
People who have fought him described hitting him as if they were hitting fucking cement lol
edit: for additional context: https://youtu.be/QMl6TyX_G7A?t=63
The story of what it feels like to hit him is reiterated by everyone that’s fought him as well. These are guys that have hit hundreds of people through their careers and training and they all say that hitting him doesn’t feel like hitting a person and that it feels like he is made out of metal
I have seen him eat a flush kick to the head and not even stumble. That’s like getting hit by a 12 year old swinging a wood baseball bat.
Really wish I could just link the pic, but look up Yoel Romero vs Paulo Costa head kick and look at the still of it landing lmao. And that didn’t even really wobble him.
Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt were also seemingly lab built to perform in the sports they competed in
Very much so. But think, out of all of the millions, no, billions of people on earth, eventually someone, somewhere, with those physical attributes will come about.
sports events probly makes more sense…theres a reason they didnt dominate every aspect of their sport
makes lebron even more impressive as well as easily the correct answer…although i do remember some study that said vick was the perfect athelete back in the day
what do we think: one of the greatest athletes in modern history? Is that hyperbolic or seriously plausible? Raw athleticism, not accomplishments.
LeBigBoss
If him and everyone else is on PEDs, the season would be locked up. Dumb ass. Plus he wouldn’t have a beard if he were on any steroids. You jack asses think you know more than the doctors and system that do the drug tests.
He’s not 100% wrong tho… PED (and meds to hide them) are EVERYWHERE even for normal gym bros. It’s no coincidence we’re seeing longer careers, ultra jacked 40yr olds etc.
Oh and the beard argument is stupid 😂
“but so is everyone else”
So basketball is a chemistry contest to see who can get the best PEDs?
Every athlete in every sport. And if you don’t think so you’re lying to yourself.
So when people celebrate Bron’s longevity they’re really celebrating pharmaceuticals
no, everybody in every league is juicing roughly the same amount, so lebrons longevity is his own
And you don’t think him having more money gets him better PEDs?
PEDs arnt that expensive. you can go get high class peds from the most yoked dude in your local golds gym
Those are probably cross-contaminated with fentanyl
please find a different place to store your head, the lack of bloodflow is impacting your thinking.
people who sell recreational drugs who are idiots cut it with fent. nobody slinging peds is putting fent in them
lmao
UP UP and AWAY!! SUPER WASHED Ain’t He??!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤷🏾♂️. Stay low and keep firing! The air up there is a tad bit different. LIVE.LAUGH.LOVE#striveforgreatness🚀 #thekidfromakron👑#jamesgang👑 #bronknows
“the air up there is a tad bit different” shit maybe he was reading some of those books
This comment is made for instagram.
It’s from instagram
That explains why it gives me a headache reading it
No way that other comment is the first time you’ve ever been called a young blood lmao. You are WAY too OOTL with the unc shit
It’s a LeBron caption from like a decade ago
I don’t get why you are getting downvoted…it’s so terrible
Because the joke is flying right over their head and apparently yours too. It’s a real Lebron IG post from like 2019 which has become a long-running meme precisely because of how terrible it is lmao.
LOL makes way more sense now. Thanks bro
How is this possible? Kareem probably made like no 3’s.
He made 1. LeBron has made 2,622
Absolutely insane. No wonder oldheads hate on today’s nba. It’s a completely different game
Kareem was a rookie in 1969, and the three was introduced in 1979. It just wasn’t something that was a part of his game. He was a 32 year old 5x MVP when it was introduced, no reason to mess with success. He won his last MVP in 1980.
Dude was amazing in the 80s too, but adding long range shooting seems kinda unnecessary.
If he’d come along a little later the skyhook 3 would’ve been something to behold
Unblockable shot. Imagine a corner 3 skyhook moon ball. Insane lol
No need to imagine
Should have just shot free throws like that.
Well also up until the last ten or so years, people his size very rarely shot threes, and in the 80s they virtually never did.
Wow, that’s quite a stat.
Yeah, Kareem needed more FGs for less points than LeBron.
Its almost like Kareem was a center that played most of his career without a 3 point line. Go figure.
So how are they so close in points and tied in fg’s when LeBron has significantly more 3’s? Maybe I’m confused.
Must be free throws?
LeBron has 5000 more points than Kareem
That record is going to stand for a looooong time
Probably forever. As in, longer than any one here is alive
Haha damn is that true??? Tf I’m getting old man.
How long ago did he break the record? Felt like a couple of months ago
that was over 3 years now buddy
future is now old man
Damn that was 3 years ago?
Yeah thats fucked lol I thought it was like last year
If you add in his playoff points, which he also has the most of, and his all-star game points, he has over 51,850 career NBA points which is more than 7,400 more than Kareem.
Wow
The rest of the leaderboard… big gap between 1-2 and everybody else!
KD about to pass a lot of legends. Good chance he eventually ends up #3 on this list.
Durant is about to pass Jordan for career points and is still fuckin 10k behind Bron jfc 😭😭
Probably have to play 4 more years to get to 3.
He’d be 42 by then.
Not impossible but I’d say it’s unlikely.
Durant breathes basketball and was practicing his jumper in the club. Plus he’s playing in the 2028 Olympics. I believe he’ll do it.
There’s obviously a paradigm shift in terms of the age that players can still be effective but the list of players who have played past 42 stands at 7.
Lebron will probably push it to 8.
The odds are against him but I hope he gets there.
The longer we get to see him play the better.
Sports medicine is advancing at a crazy rate. Tatum will be the next and then Halliburton to see if they really figured out achilles injuries. Hopefully no more career ending injuries
I would say he ends up as 6
bron is my goat but its still p impressive Jordan is that high with how fewer years he played compared to the guys around him
First time seeing a Bulls fan have Bron the GOAT
I didnt chose this outcome and fought it for a long time, but I remain true to my eyes and my heart
you are my goat bro
greatest of all turncoats
You are out of your mind!
He’s not a Bulls fan.
check my history, born and raised into being a Bull fan. My unconditional loyalty is just to my team, not specific players
And you watched Jordan’s entire career?
Nah, i was alive for 98’ but really only got to watch his wizards years, clearly i am well aware of his entire career and the dynasty Bulls with how much its a part of the city’s history. I got vintage gear from that era and still love MJ and cherish those Bulls but i gotta be objective and compare it to what ive seen with my own eyes in this era
Well there you have it. If you were fortunate to be alive to watch every game of his, like I had the privilege of doing, then you’d understand.
I get that response alot, which is maybe why i am partial and much more open to Lebron than older Bulls fans in myfamily lol.
Trust me, i would kill for the privilege of being an obnoxious Bulls fan going to championship parades year after year, all ive known is the Bulls being ass outside of the short-lived Rose era when i despised Lebron lol.
I can’t argue you with you there. Thanks to the dummies in Portland and the lucky bounces of the lottery for the bulls to land Rose, this franchise has been poo. Embarrassing actually.
There is no way.
Agreed. No Bulls fan would say otherwise. If you watched his entire career, you just know Jordan the best. It’s really that simple.
Jordan pure scorer. Lebron one of the greatest playmakers ever
Jordan was a VOLUME shooter though, even on his occasional bad nights. Against the Heat in the 1997 playoffs, he shot a terrible 47.5% TS but still averaged 30 ppg lol.
Not to mean this ultra score first mentality held him back or anything, it’s probably the GOAT peak after all.
MJ that high with so less games.
And if they cut the game schedule to 70, it’s basically impossible. You’ll have to make a “new era” records list.
Wilt Chamberlain still touched more cotton than all of these guys
He’s the only one sprinting
The title is technically correct
That’s a first
Pipe down young blood. This is the uncs thread
First time in my life I’ve been called a young blood. Brings a tear to my eye.
I think he could play an impactful role on the court until 50 if he wanted, maybe longer..
Please God no.
I’m happy to hear the opposing fans cheer too 🫡
Bron put some extra pep into that possession knowing it was the one
I’m not a LeBron fan but if he grows the full grey beard out and hoops like a grandpa I’d jump on the LeBandwagon until he retires
LeGandalf
could lebron theoretically play until hes 45
For sure. If he really, really dragged it out until he was the last option on the bench… I shudder to think how long that could actually take.
His size and understanding of the game makes him valuable forever lol. He could be a championship level role player, like a 2014 Boris Diaw, in his mid 40s.
For now, LeBron STILL has his north-south transition speed. Insane.
About 4 more years
The only problem, and every athlete has said this, is as you get older it’s always possible to stay in game shape, it’s the warming up and staying loose that gets harder and takes up more of your time.
Lebron has to basically keep active perpetually and as soon as he takes time off his body will lock up and it will take a veeeerrry long time for him to get into game shape for each game. It’s what did Tom Brady in, he finally just couldn’t do all the extra prep just to stay in game condition.
If Lebron (knock on wood that he never does) gets an injury that requires him to not play for a while, that will be the end of his career. Not from the injury itself but the downtime from it. Won’t even need to be a ‘major’ one, just anything that requires downtime.
Bot account
He’s always making history in losses to denver
Jokic had a half court head start and still couldn’t get back in time
Bron still a beast
Luka bringing him down
Thought the title would be exaggerating, but the play starts with him being by far the closest to his own basket.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNaLIhzSYDI Exact same play
Till he’s 90!
He deserves everything. Both ways.
Mustn’t it be kinda boring for him now?
Hell of a bucket to tie the record!
Bron will keep playing till both of his sons retire 😭
Now that the king has officially come home and shaved his head I expect at least 5 more years of 23/5/5 type stats
Why does LeBron have so many more points? From 3s?
King 👑
Here
Swear I read fattest
Did no one see that tank running down the sideline
His excellence has no time limit. He is 1 of 1. Face of the league and I’ll miss him when he’s gone But that don’t make him the GOAT. Rodmn was right when he said the greatest means “peak” not “longevity”.
LeOld
its quite obvious if you play too long, and too greedy enough you can break lots of records who cares about records if they are done forcefully
The glaze in this thread is obnoxious. LeBron is literally the 4th slowest player in the NBA currently. Yes, he ran down the floor and made a smart basketball play, but he’s not remotely the fastest on the court.
Chill out bro. Lebron literally was the fastest person on this specific play since he is literally the only one actually running when everyone else was jogging. That’s it. No reason to get your panties in a wad.
[deleted]
I can finally cheer my team again when he and his nepo trash kid are gone
Juice
This sub is just LeBron glazing at this point, I’m convinced nba Reddit is a bunch of people that are either kids or people who never played basketball at a high level and get impressed by anything. Is it history? Yes but context matters, played in a heliocentric offense essentially his whole career, moved and built teams which not only made them stacked in the weak east but it concentrated the talent in a conference that was already far worse than the west, and stat padding towards the end of his career sitting out games against the better teams and staying in games late in blowouts against the worst teams. This is also not getting into his flops, travels, and defense…
And you’re just a sad fucking hater. This isn’t a YouTube comments section.
This sub loves celebrating cherry picking.
This is cherry picking?
when you defy thousands of years of human genetics, the only conclusion to make is that he is receiving ‘assistance’ from other sources….no human has been this athletic at that age, it defies explanation. It is simply not natural.
Players in other sports have stayed athletic until around this age before.
Here’s Gordie Howe scoring and skating at age 52 in professional NHL games.
Or Jagr scoring at age 45
Obviously not the same level of athlete at that age but you get my point. And there are plenty of others (Ronaldo, Brady) but those two came to mind first
That’s fast to you? They paid him no attention at all
Regardless of the accuracy of the title in regard to this clip, LeBron is routinely the fastest guy on the court in a dead sprint even at 41
Crazy considering his feet. His orthotist must be rolling in it.
