Been working on my Invoker Werewolf all league, and I just want to show it off a bit. Pretty proud of how quickly it can delete Uber Arbiter.
Just a heads up - your rite of passage charm is not working and will never proc because of “7% increased charm charges used” on ingenuity. Had the same issue myself
Oh damn, that’s interesting. Luckily I only throw the ingenuity on for Arbiter and usually run HH anywhere else, but its still good to know. Thank you!
That’s actually crazy! What’s the main source of this outrageous dps?
It’s hard to attribute it to one thing honestly, Invoker just has access to a lot of small small efficiencies that really add up. For example, two of the gem sockets on the passive tree are surrounded by extremely good nodes, so throwing in a good time lost or against the darkness gem gives a massive boost. The time lost I have in there brings my shred from 365k to 470k hideout damage by itself. On top of that, the invoker area of the tree has access to many nodes that give a lot of crit chance or damage if the enemy is blinded or dazed, and you can permanently keep them blinded and dazed with Elemental Expression.
The other big thing is using Chaos Inoculation to cheat out some damage you can’t normally otherwise. With CI and even a single point of flat HP regen, I can have berserk permanently online without taking any damage. It lets me run Wolf Pack and put Minion Pact on all of my skills without killing them, and Amanamu’s Tithe on them keeps abyss mods online most of the time. The CI + berserk combo also lets me permanently have the Fast Metabolism effect without needing to annoint it because Im technically never at full health.
Last big thing is Bhatair’s Vengeance, freezing something with Lunar Assault (which has 2000% freeze buildup in this build) gives 46% extra cold damage, and the moonbeams are considered melee hits so they’re constantly making me fire off Elemental Expression much faster than I could otherwise.
damn that’s so dope
What stats at looking for on those time lost?
Increased radius to large is mandatory, followed by small passives give more damage while shapeshifted. After that, increased effect of small passives and/or increased cold damage is good as well.
That’s dope, but also sounds like they need to fix that berserk interaction.
Dang nice
Thanks for the in depth reply. Thats pretty awesome. I myself am running both eternal rage and berserk on my ranger build. Kinda have to run eternal rage as ranger doesn’t do melee hits. Also it’s kind of insane that elemental expression counts as melee hits. I never even noticed on my invoker build.
Finding good unintended synergies in this game is so gratifying man!
Brother hope you make a video guide, this build needs to work on next league❤️
Luckily I don’t think Werewolf looked too overtuned this league, so it might escape pretty unscathed - if it survives there’s a good chance I’ll post a more in-depth guide next league.
Glad you like it though, means a lot!
that build rips! refreshing to see more home brew builds in this vast swath of coc comet waste land
u can improve ur bd for even more damage and surivability. im at 1.5 million shred dps in town and i have 10.5k es 8k armour. i am oracle eaiser to get big nodes but similar idea.
crowne of eyes with the rage/spell cast node will basically more then double ur damage with more rage, way better then aztiri. maji is better for more rage.
unique diamond changes life to es is also very OP, just gotta find the right one.
need garuken resolve in ur shred, doesnt show up in tooltip but it basically gives u double damage
Thanks for the advice, I’ll look into it. One thing to note is that invoker damage in hideout is significantly lower than it actually is because a huge amount of our damage is locked behind conditionals, stuff like enemy being blinded, dazed, have I done a crit recently, have I dealt a projectile hit recently, melee hit recently, etc.
I’ll give the crown of eyes a shot but there’s a good chance it won’t work, I just don’t have access to the rage nodes and with 34 rage, it will give 68% increased attack damage. Worth a shot but there’s a good chance that 4 skill levels and 30% increased crit chance would outperform that.
Ive also considered multiple times trying to fit in the Heroic Tragedy, it just won’t fit. All three gem slots have crucial nodes around them that I can’t afford to change. The extra ES would be nice, but I can’t sacrifice those nodes.
Lastly, Garukhans Resolve is only really core for oracles because of Forced Outcome, for me it would reduce my effective crit chance to 75% which isn’t viable because my non crit hits do negligible damage. Even with the bifurcation, I’d lose too much. I have tested it before.
Great tips for Oracle’s, but invokers need to be built a little different.
Can you post or dm me your poe/pob link that would greatly be appreciated been itching for a melee build that looks and feels good
Well done!
I love the build diversity of this game! Well done!
I noticed some Path of Exile keywords in this post:
^(I am a bot.) ^| ^(All acronyms) ^| ^(Suggest)
That’s awesome
What class is this?
This is Monk, Invoker Ascendancy!
So are the ice moons that are coming from your attacks part of the ascendancy? The like icy fingernail things?
The ones that fall from the sky are not part of the ascendancy, it’s a buff called Lunar Blessing, a werewolf skill. They trigger on melee hit.
The constant 3 blue waves are from the ascendancy, they trigger on crit
Bro I OPENED discord to check for notification…..
thats pretty damm sm3xy congrats!
edit: you say its made out of money… did you farm the money on a alt/main or was this your money maker and you upgraded as you went?
also what is your skill rotation please?
Thank you!
This is my only character this league, I couldn’t bring myself to play anything else. Werewolf just felt too good, they knocked it out of the park.
I know I say its made out of money, but it was performing just fine without the Vertex and Splendour. They are the most expensive parts. A high ES helmet can replace the vertex, and the Splendour can be replaced with a regular ES/Evasion hybrid chest. The only thing is that you want to get enough ES/Evasion to get at least 150 extra spirit, so you can fit all the support gems this build uses. It uses a LOT of active buffs.
Skill rotation is… well, I don’t like multi skill builds to be honest. You slap them with Lunar Assault until frozen (usually 1, 2-3 if its a pinnacle boss), then just hold down Shred. If its a boss, you also pounce on them first to apply Freezing Mark. The build is capable of keeping Lunar Blessing online 100% of the time as well, so just tap that whenever it runs out.
Sick
What’s that pet skin?
That’s the Nine-Tailed Fox, I don’t play PoE1 but I bought it there to get it in PoE2.
Nice. I’m ok with active skills and buffs. Ran a classic ‘breath wyvern build this league and hoping to come back another time to run a fun build.
Oh damn that’s pretty cool!
Nice build, I also work on Invoker vanilla wolf this league, slightly different from your (more buttons to press though and more damage/defences)
Something you might want to check
- Atziri’s Impatience are not fully work with Lunar Blessing. It does reduce the cooldown of the skill that provide buff, however, doesn’t affect CDR on Moonbeam (Moonbeam is coded as Meta Skills which cannot be supported).
There’s quite a few optimizations that you can make for this build. I really don’t think wind dancer is doing very much for your build. Something like herald of thunder or artic howl would give you more damage. You can have a second talisman with Warcries empower two additional attacks. The other skill that is not doing a ton is cross slash. Putting in another warcry here would be again higher DPS. This would give you 9 empowered attacks that will deal massive damage. In general using Crown of Eyes and Mystical Rage Anointment on your amulet will provide more damage than The Vertex on pretty much every attacking build. You can get a megalomanic with your current anointment fairly cheaply. Defensively you are taking quite a few nodes that are Evasion/ES nodes, however your defenses are almost entirely ES and it would be better to get more pure ES nodes instead. In general you are taking a ton of small passive nodes and it would be better to go for more jewel slots and notables.
So when you say made out of money is that hundreds of divines or thousands or?
The gear as shown is probably a couple mirrors, but a regular ES helm, hybrid chest and good weapon, you could probably get something great for under 1000 divs.
Well, I’m impressed. GG OP! Nice build
Why do you have the 9 tailed fox from Naruto with you?
