It’ll be interesting to see if Zu can play at a faster pace. We never really got to see him properly try it because Harden played such a controlled pace. He’ll definitely be really good for them, but curious if he’ll adapt that part of his game.

That was 7 years ago. Centers tend to slow down with age. Hell, everyone tends to slow down with age.
I dont think the Pacers plan on playing as fast. Hali is coming off an Achilles tear. The plan is for him to lean more into the half-court offense, as his athleticism will likely not be the same. These guys are NOT Daryl Morey, they are smart and wouldnt trade for Zu if they are planning on still playing face-paced.

Not doubting that Zu won’t be good for them and 15⁄9 is certainly achievable and I expect him to probably be better than that. I’m just curious if he’ll effectively match their uptempo/quick decision making play style.
Harden kept the pace of LAC REALLY controlled. That allowed Zu to get established or set up and run a PnR while the table gets set. We never played transition ball like Hali is so adept at despite Ty Lue wanting us to be better at that, and it’s in large part because Zu/Harden never really ran.
