I, along with anyone else I’ve talked to, went in thinking Wonka was a poorly formed idea that shouldn’t be made and ended up being honestly pretty delightful. He was great in it too.

This was a great year with Leo and MBJ as well. Wouldn’t call it a travesty if he doesn’t win. More of an SGA over Jokic situation last year, if we somehow also had a good Embiid year as a third banana.
Totally agree. Without knowing anything about the movie or character, within minutes of watching him in that role - I felt a very dark energy from his portrayal, and I said out loud - why do I feel like this character is going to be a horrible person. And in the end, I learned the character was indeed, a horrible person. That is what great acting is.
