There are plenty of other positions like that where you can use your knowledge and skill set better than anyone they could find and train within say a month. If you have that, you can ask for a raise or find it elsewhere.
NBA players aren’t the problem. I don’t mind their salaries going up, because they provide a product using skills that many people do not have. What I mind is the billionaire owners of these teams that are wealthy due to luck and the exploitation of people and planet and basically no unique skill or talent, especially because they’re the ones who set the salaries for everyone below them.
