Disagree. If Giannis leaves in the offseason the Bucks are going through purgatory for a while and whether we have the 10th pick or 16th won’t matter that much, in all likelihood.

If he decides to stay and re-sign, it would be much better for the org. Obviously no guarantees either way but the best way to move the needle on that is to win games and make the play in.

Bucks are in a tough spot. If the bottom 6 teams all continue to win at the pace they’re currently on, the Bucks could lose every game and still finish ahead of them. They will at best finish with the 7th best odds even if they fully committed to tanking and lost 23 games straight.

Now on the flip side of that, if they try to win games, even a great end of the season where let’s say they finish 18-5, that still puts them at 44-38. That would be on pace to be the 7th seed in the East.

As far as the draft, at best they’ll wind up with the 7th pick odds, at worst they’ll have the around pick 17. More than likely they end up somewhere in the middle, let’s just call it the 12th pick which is slightly better than their current position of 10th. A mid first rounder is likely on the way.

There’s not a good direction to go in. Do you win games and trick yourself into thinking you’ll win a round on the Pistons/Celtics? They aren’t winning a championship regardless.

Or do you bottom out and hope to get lucky in the draft? Probably not ending up with a top pick but you never know. This feels worth taking a swing on more than trying to get out of the play-in and go on a playoff run with that roster.

Awesome. I want to see a healthy Suns team test one of the top seeds. I don’t think they have chance at winning a series but there’s a frisky 6-game series against anybody.

Ultimately I do worry about seeing too much Jalen Green. How do Suns fans feel about his play so far bc it hasn’t looked good in my opinion.

Yeah I think Green has been pretty bad. He had one decent game against the Spurs and another against the Clippers where I could see the vision and that game winner was sweet but he’s been far too bad to even say graciously that it’s just inconsistency due to injuries / new team.

The good news is we’ve been much better than expected without him (I always saw him as a throw in for salary match on the KD trade and that like half of the FRP pick and at least one of the 2nds was for eating his contract) but the bad news is he’s eating 20% of the cap until 2028 so unless something turns around next year I dunno what you do with him.
