He’s been this guy for a couple years now, he’s just getting more minutes and it’s against other starters. He’s also more dependable with regards to the little things. I think my main reason for thinking he couldn’t hack it is that I’d gotten used to Porzingis and Horford, who were both stretch 5s who could create their own offense (Horford less so) and were good passers. The reality is there are maybe 10 guys in the league like that, and we had two.

Queta is excellent at what he does, and doesn’t play outside of that, which is perfectly sufficient for a center.

(They didn’t start differentiating offensive and defensive rebounds in stats until 1973-74 so I would imagine Bill Russell did that at some point but who knows!)

I genuinely think first priority for Celtics this offseason is to try and lock Neemy down for an extension. He is probably 2nd most important player to this team’s success this season behind JB.
