Idk but I’m a fan of different sports teams across different cities and I found that it’s not an isolated incidents. Every team sub has post-loss meltdowns. I guess it’s just because there are always going to be people who are a little too emotionally attached to whatever they’re into. I just stay away from it and look for the non-toxic comment threads.

Things that go beyond logical statements about the team etc. We played bad. Lots of turnovers and we didn’t shoot well. We played bad on both sides of the ball. These are what I consider NOT meltdown statements just facts. It’s when people start cussing each other out and shouting to the heavens for firing etc or downvoting and attacking any comments that state the simple fact that the Knicks are just a good team and we played bad against a good team.

Is it illogical to say Fox has been well below his pay grade since Wemby came back, and Mitch bad in-game adjustment have cost us several game all year, and in particular this game not matching Castle’s minutes with Brunson, letting Fox guard Brunson for some fucking reason, and not playing Harper more than Fox after halftime when it was clear that that we putting Fox in action every time on defense, while he wasn’t doing shit offensively. But I guess I am being illogical 🙄

What is illogical is how you responded to my original comment by commenting “what is considered a meltdown to you?” Because you felt personally attacked by me saying that SOME fans in our team sub are having meltdowns after every loss (every team sub does this. It’s not just the spurs.) in the hopes of baiting me into an argument with your rolling eyes emoji etc. Your points you bring up are valid. We are not a perfect team. No team is perfect. The spurs have their flaws and I’m not arguing against that. As a matter of fact, I stated as much in my original comment.

Please don’t feel attacked. I’m not saying it’s bad to be upset about a loss. But how people react/respond to those emotions is what constitutes a “meltdown”

It’s 2-1 because of a late 17 point comeback (which is valid, it totally counts!). But if not for that (relatively) fluke outcome against a short-handed (Garland, Strus, Hunter) Cavs team, it would be 1-2 in Cleveland’s favor. And they annihilated the Knicks last week. It was probably the worst game I’ve seen a team play all season, and I’ve had the misfortune to watch the Kings and Jazz.

The last game was more indicative of how a series would play out.

Pistons were shooting average from three while the Knicks were getting zero and still kept it within 5 for most of the first half until the very last seconds.

They fought in the third with still no three ball but couldn’t get the tie before finally relinquishing an even larger deficit at the end of the quarter.

Knicks must make adjustments when the shots aren’t falling and play inside out with Towns in the post or start isolating with Bridges in the post to generate weak side action.

They didn’t do that at all and kept on trying to make it rain to no avail.

I don’t know if it’s pride or potentially saving strats, but they want to beat the Pistons with their basic offense.

If it comes down to Pistons, Celtics, Knicks, and Cavaliers as the final four in the East, I think the Cavaliers have a serious shot to win that series and an interesting factor would be if Tatum coming back to avenge the series loss last year.

Nothing is guaranteed this year.

I don’t know that I’ve ever been this confused about the contenders in a season. Wins and losses aside, it’s hard to tell how good or bad all these top teams actually are. I’m not sure if the Knicks are as good as they were today or as bad as they were against Cleveland last week or during their 2-9 January stretch. I’m not sure if Denver is as good as they were when it was next man up with the injuries or as mediocre as they’ve looked since. I’m not sure if Detroit is as good as their record or if they’re gonna get exposed for their lack of shooting. I’m not sure if Cleveland is as good as they’ve looked since getting Harden or if it’s just the honeymoon. I’m not sure if San Antonio is a ‘real’ second seed or if they’re this year’s Houston and are gonna get exposed for a lack of playoff experience.

It’s all too confusing. I’m just gonna root for the Hornets.

Tbh Spurs have been given February fools gold.. as a fan I knew Spurs were due for a wake up. only just beat OKC bench by 10, beat warriors with no curry or butler by 13, beat suns with no Brooks or booker, beat Lakers with no luka or lebron.. everyone hyping up the win steak lol.
