I mean he’s the entire reason we were down 19-7 to start, and the 22-2 run was with him on the bench

Inconsistent shooting.

His three point shooting numbers are an anomaly: he still doesn’t take open threes, or makes the right plays when the ball swings to him on the perimeter, consistently like he needs to.

Even when he’s wide open, and even after making a three, he’ll hesitate and then brick one really badly or he’ll mess up a possession by wasting that open shot attempt by trying to drive to the rim only to get contested hard and take a worse shot than if he just shot the three.

Those types of plays ruin the momentum of the offense, and the team as a whole.

At least with Shamet, he will rise up and take the open three, even if it’s tightly contested, or when the close out is solid he knows how to drive and most importantly find the open shooter if the defense converges.

Hart doesn’t know how to do that consistently because he’s not a good ball handler.

Which is a shame because if Hart could slash and pass it back out to the open shooter, which often means knowing how to make a controlled jump pass once the step up defender commits and jumps in the air to contest the shot, and sling it with one arm to the opposite corner or wing, he’d be even more of a weapon.

He’s one of those guys who gets a wide open 3 and just passes to someone else 9 times out of 10. It makes him black hole most of the time on offense cuz people just don’t guard him on the perimeter
