Well for one thing I don’t think this clip shows anything high-level. These clips are really designed to teach people like me, an average NBA fan, a little more about Xs and Os and doesn’t really showcase the coaches’ depth of knowledge.

That said, one of the critical jobs of a coach is teaching, and I think what almost all of these clips show is that these coaches are great teachers and pretty gifted at explaining basketball. And you can also tell that they enjoy doing it.

In a broader context I think the fact is that pretty much anyone who is a head coach in the NBA is a good coach. They might be the 30th best head coach in the league, but they are still a good coach.

He coaches the Magic like they have Luka out there who can make offense from nothing. The team needs far more structure because it’s built poorly

He’s clearly not terrible, but I do think his style of coaching has probably reached the limit of it’s potential, at least with the current roster. He doesn’t seem to like to run a set offense and his timeout calling is very questionable. There’s also the question if player’s, specifically Paolo’s, seeming lack of development is a them problem or a coaching problem, which is also probably a bit of both.

Man who knows but yeah the impression I get is that they might make a change if the season ends in a disappointing way.

Huge fan of Legler. Btw did you see last night Richard Jefferson started playing with Legler’s hair during the broadcast in a really weird way just to try and put him off his game lol and all Legler said was “that felt good”
