Like I said, if MrBuckBuck can get to 65 games, he’s a lock for MVP
These are the Hornets announcers right?
They were great
Yup, Eric Collins and former NBA player Dell Curry.
(they did not broadcast the Hornets game ealier tonight though)
Eric did a couple of calls earlier in year without Dell and it just isn’t the same. They’re a duo for a reason
Did they ever say why spo had jaquez so deep in the dog house last year?
He was just having a terrible year is all. Jacquez still needs an outside shot but he had way more problems getting to his spots after the rookie year scouting. He improve his handle and slashing and has been pretty good for us all year. He still needs to improve his outside shot to open his game some more but his off season improvements have been adequate thus far.
He wasn’t very good last year. Good rookie year, hit a wall last year, good again this year.
Jaquez was bad bad last year. I mean he looked so bad a lot of us had written him off.
I don’t know any player that had as big of a sophomore slump as that and successfully pulled out of it like he has.
I was hoping LA would trade for him since his value was so low last year. Maybe I’m wrong, but it looked like he was being asked to do things he simply is not good at
Nah, same thing he was asked to do rookie year and this year(albeit this year at a higher rate). Problem is when he hit the rookie wall it was in large part due to the fact that he only had one move he was comfortable with, drive to a spin. Once teams figured that out, they sat on the spin. And then last season he came in and hadn’t expanded his bag at all, so they kept sitting on the spin and forcing turnovers. Like it got so obvious that there were a couple defenders timing his spin and moving to the spot he was going to be a split second before he actually started the spin lol. This year he’s added a bunch of go tos. Still a bit sloppy with the handle but nobody can jump his moves anymore, he’s big enough to bully most wings and quick enough to get by most bigs. And has enough footwork to bamboozle both if needed, also something he didn’t really use last year
