I think they would rather start him and take him off early than have him come off the bench. Tatum would traditionally play the entire first quarter in most games, it’s been a part of the way he plays for a long time.

Personally, I don’t think any other coach in the league could do what Joe has done this year. For most of the season our entire center rotation was 2 minimum salary former 4th stringers. And besides like 4 guys in the rotation nearly everyone else is an unproven young guy (except for Vuc now that we have him).
