JB is still shooting on below average efficiency for the year and averages 4 less assists and 0.4 less turnovers. Luka is so much better. They’re not close.

JB is a borderline elite defender and can impact the game even when shooting poorly. Luka’s shot selection, turnovers, effort, and heliocentric-ness makes him one-dimensional. Luka is a defensive liability and will always be a liability because he’s lazy. To cap it all off, JB even clamped his ass and won a finals mvp

Luka’s not a good defender but he can easily be hidden if he’s surrounded by good defenders. The Mavs after the trade deadline 2 years ago had the best defense in the league. They lost the finals because they couldn’t score (held to <100 for ⁴⁄₅ games).

Also JB didn’t “clamp” Luka considering he averaged 29 on 55% TS (not great but definitely not “clamped”). Congrats he won the weakest FMVP in the last decade. No advanced stats suggest Luka and JB are even close to each other either.
