[BasketNews] Grant Williams: “The whole team was in the hotel. Bron had a room as well. At the time it was communicated that he had the room as well as a house on campus. I spoke with that knowledge but I’ll say publicly i was wrong and spoke with inaccurate information.”
In his appearance on the latest episode of the Club 520 Podcast, Grant Williams went viral for his claim regarding LeBron James in the NBA Bubble.
As the 2019-20 season resumed in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Williams, who was still a rookie for the Boston Celtics, claimed that the LA Lakers superstar has his own house within the area.
“He had a house on the campus. … They had their own setup. Their team was taken care of,” Williams said.
As Williams’ statement spread quickly across the internet, Markieff Morris came on to defend James from the Charlotte Hornets forward’s intriguing remarks.
On X (formerly Twitter), Morris dismissed Williams’ house claims about LeBron. Morris was a part of the Lakers’ roster as they entered the Bubble.
“lol cap he was two doors down from me! Dog was locked down just like the rest of us. We had a madden league,” Morris wrote. “We played all the games in his room. We was damn near gaming all night!”
Upon this revelation made by the former NBA veteran, Williams went on to set the record straight, admitting that his claims are false.
