I read that the 65 game cut off doesn’t apply to rookies, but Flagg has only played 49 games to Kon’s 59 (and counting). Kon is leading the team a potential playoff appearance while breaking 3pt records. I just don’t see how he isn’t the ROY favorite already!

It’s really close between him and Flagg, I’m fine with giving him an edge right now but Flagg has a much harder role and was also crushing it, so it’s far from over.

My guess is the Hornets come back down to earth as a team or Flagg gets back and resumes his production, the recency bias will switch back.

There is no world in which Flagg deserves it over Kon. He’s having not just the greatest shooting year ever by a rookie but also an all time shooting year.

kon having that season on a playoff bound team has him on the forefront but it’s closer than people say. also, thinking basketball had kon in top 25 under 25 at like beginning of season and people were mad coop wasn’t included so he has been superb even before this hornets run.
