Why would they? If he’s actually injured it’s not an issue, if he’s not injured it’s franchise-level shenanigans the NBAPA doesn’t need to get involved in anyway.

If he’s actually injured to some extent but there’s genuine disagreement about what constitutes “too injured to play” that would be an NBAPA issue, but until that point there’s not really much for them to get involved with.

I imagine the precedent has long been set and it’s already in the bylaws somewhere. Whether or not it’s been enforced regularly is a different matter.
