Obviously you hope the hand specialist is giving them the best possible advice, but there’s not really a reason to choose the path if the actual ‘rest’ option still brings Harden back by the playoffs. The East is still relatively weak and the Cavs likely can’t slip to the play-in no matter how much time Harden sits.
