Probably Presti tbh. He shows up in person watching collegiate guys at games. He was famously the one that found Tony Parker for the Spurs during his time there. Then immediately left and drafted KD, Westbrook, and Harden. I can’t imagine a guy with that track record ever taking the backseat to scouting duties, because nobody would ever measure up after that.
He seems like a guy that really enjoys all aspects of his job, but I get the vibe that that is actually the part of the job he is maybe a bit selfishly passionate about. I think if he were to ever fully delegate that it might make him feel disconnected from the other parts of the job.
