Rick Carlisle had very strong words for how the NBA office handled the medical examination, calling it “ridiculous” and “shocking.”
The Jazz are the only team that is egregiously tanking. The Pacers just suck.
The Wizards are tanking as bad as the Jazz. Look at their minutes distribution they don’t play their young guys. At least Ace is out here getting 30+ minutes a game, that literally wouldn’t be happening if he were on the Wizards.
nah the pacers have been blatantly tanking too, idk why people only call out the jazz
Pacers are definitely doing some shameless tanking. I just think the example of the game in which they were fined is probably one of the least egregious.
Just say you don’t watch us, it’s fine to admit you don’t know something
zubac’s been out since he arrived in indy but i’m sure the pacers aren’t tanking 🤣
You’re tanking
Pacers just aren’t good without Hali, Utah is a totally different matter
We’ve also missed over like 215 man games this season and over 400 if you include the season before as well. We’ve been very, very injury riddled for two years. People forget that even in the playoffs we had 3* rotation players hurt
I put the asterisk because BOTH of our backup centers tore their achilles, resulting in us getting Moses Brown (we cut), then Thomas Bryant and Tony Bradley. So our fifth and sixth option centers are who we were rocking with lol
This season we’ve had Nemby, Nesmith, Mathurin, Obi, TJ, Shep, Q, Furph, and I’m sure I’m missing more miss significant time.
We’ve been deadass just hurt man
If Rick’s version of things is true, the league made several errors in how they handled the Pacers’ fine.
But one thing I want to point out: people are mad that the league didn’t talk to the Pacers team doctors, etc., and I get the anger on the surface. But when you’re talking to teams in this tanking and/or load management era of the league who are heavily incentivized to sit players, I can understand the league saying, “Yeah, we could talk with them, but chances are we aren’t getting full transparency, so what would be the point?”
This. It’s like calling the defendant’s lawyer as a witness.
I feel like the NBA office just wants to set an example to punish tanking, and they see two bad teams facing each other and just choose that game without really looking into it. And it shows so now they wanna save face with all the independent medical experts stuff.
What kind of call center dystopian nightmare is this? Is this how radio is done nowadays? I know it’s not a temporary remote Super Bowl/All-Star thing because I see the Texans in the back. They look so bored and tired. How can you even concentrate with all of that background noise and people moving around? Where’s the studio? They should have partnered with We Work to keep them in business.
Yeah this is crazy for a real radio station..hopefully something is going on. I don’t want this to be how radio is now. They need their own room at least.
It was. But so is corporate-sponsored match fixing aka tanking.
Womp womp
That sounds like someone trying to qualify for disability to me. Welcome to being treated like a normie.
