[Highlight] Devin Vassell scores the jumper off the hand off by Victor Wembanyama, and Ausar Thompson was subbed out during the timeout, never to return again (he was not injured)
Really weird mistake to make but surprised he didn’t get back in. This is definitely on Ausar but Cade basically didn’t try to get around Fox’s screen
Jb will do that sometimes with Ausar and it’s pretty frustrating most of the time for the fans. I’m sure like with most things fans second guess coaches on, I’m sure he would have a decent explanation for it if he were to speak candidly off the record on it. But yeah, from outside the locker room it is confusing. I don’t get it.
I always like when players hold their players accountable, especially for effort. Wish my team did that more.
Yeah the rotation was weird for the Pistons. I also didn’t understand getting Duren off the court and not subbing him in until like 2 min left. He was the one that ignited a mini come back and then just got benched
This whole game felt kinda off tbh. It felt like the Pistons were trying to lean so hard into the “this is how we play” thing that it actually got them off of their game. By overplaying so hard in an apparent response try and not let vic dictate the game, they ended up doing so anyways by expending unnecessary energy and putting themselves in foul trouble in the process of it.
These are the little things JB does as coach that kinda got him fired in Cleveland. I remember when Pistons had their turnaround people were saying JB is the guy who will do an amazing job with young players and creating a good culture. But if you want to win it all you gotta find a coach that can outplay other coaches
Damn, even the pistons are trying to tank
rip ausar i am sorry you died of a non injury
Some say… that if you go to the locker room after the game, and turn the lights off…. you can sometimes hear his voice saying… “turn the lights back on” 👻
So The Spurs haunting Detroit even after 2005.
Thompson Twins can’t catch a break against wemby.
