[Highlight] Neemias Queta soars to the sky to block LeBron James layup attempt
This is the game that makes it clear that the Lakers are a first or second round exit.
It’s been made clear a long time ago lol.
Games like this are why I’ve always felt you need to sell high on Reaves to truly build around Luka.
Exactly. You can’t win in the playoffs if 3 out of your starting 5 don’t play defense. Right now the Lakers have Luka, old Luka, and poor man’s Luka on the same team.
It’s 4 because Ayton doesn’t play defense either.
Trade LeBron instead
He’s not tradeable lol
I’ve been saying for a couple years now that Reaves is fools gold. He’s way too reliant on free throws for a guy that doesn’t add anything besides scoring.
He’s a fine player on his current contract. But on the deal he wants, no thank you.
Trade James, sell high on Reaves
Luka has to be better or none of this matters.
If he only had the same team or personnel he had in the finals that season. But none of that matters if Bron is on the team and the salary cap is taking a massive hit. But that’s the double edge sword with having an expiring goats on the team. Good or bad, you let them stay until he retires or want to leave. Luka will have to wait.
What does that have to do with him being 9⁄22 and awful on defense today?
Everyone has bad games, his team is supposed to be able to pick up the slack, but they can’t. It can’t be all on him
The leader sets the tone. I don’t think so many people would be clowning Luka if he busted his ass on both sides of the ball.
Funniest outcome is matching up against us, battle of the probable first round exits.
Rockets would handle Lakers without much issue imo.
Without much issue? The challenge would be for each team to make it through without burning out their star veteran.
This is the game that made it clear?
We all know this unfortunately.
I mean only four teams make it out of the second round. The lakers have an outside chance at being one of those 4 depending on health and matchup, but saying they aren’t a top 4 team isn’t exactly a groundbreaking opinion.
Always loved his effort and we ended up cutting him. Smh lol
Tbf he was definitely a project player who might have only blossomed in the perfect system. Not trying to throw shade but I think it’s pretty common knowledge the Kings aren’t that franchise right now lol
No you would be right to throw that shade. His case definitely speaks to both our inability to assess AND grow talent 😕
I think for Queta the issue was between his ears. He had the physical talent and his effort was top notch but he needed to figure out how to carve out a role that would work well for him. Obviously goes without saying that the Celtics have done well in building those lacking skills, but when the biggest hurdle is a player’s mental game it’s really hard to predict who will “crack the code” and who won’t.
He was hunting Bron the whole way.
LeMobyDick
He Lebroned LeBron
Did he formed a super team to win his first title then proclaimed himself as the GOAT?
BLOCKED BY QUETA
Nemesis Queta
GOAT shit, it was curry last year and Bron this year

Cut off the highlight right before Ayton gets the rebound and Queta puts his whole arm through the rim and refs decided to not call goaltend
It’s not a goaltend if he doesn’t touch the ball and the ball doesn’t bounce off the rim
But the ball did bounce off the rim moments after the defender had made contact with it. That’s 100% a goaltend. Otherwise people would just shake the rim while the ball is mid flight on a jumper. You can’t do that and the refs missed it
And gave 2 techs trying to defend their missed call
IT’s only goaltending if touching the rim alters the shot, which in this case it clearly didn’t.
Here is the official rule:
h. Vibrate the rim, net or backboard so as to cause the ball to make an unnatural bounce, or bend or move the rim to an off-center position when the ball is touching the ring or passing through.
Would’ve been a crazy shot if he made it though
That pitter patter step to slow himself enough to time the jump was a thing of beauty.
Kenny smith on inside the NBA told a story on inside the NBA on how you know it’s time to retire. When you start getting beat by guys you shouldn’t be getting beat by it’s time
