He was actually having a pretty average season until February hit, when he went Super Saiyan. I was worried the All-Star break would ruin his momentum, but it sure didn’t.

His 2 man work with either Jared, Caso or I-Hart is genuinely unbelievable. He’s out there moving like prime Klay offensively atm.

He was the best shooter in the country last year iirc. The season before that he had a stretch where he made 29 consecutive 3s over the course of a couple weeks.

He’s been an elite shooter, it’s just the other aspects of his game that keep him down on the depth chart

Couple weeks ago he had 2 points with 30+ minutes on the court. Since the McCain trade hes been hitting everything.

Joe is our best shooter but is incredibly streaky still. He is on a bit of a heater recently but it’s not uncommon for him to go like ⁶⁄₁₂ one game then balance it with ²⁄₁₀

Fills in the defensive gaps and rebounding gaps for Chet while providing dimes, perfect screens on dribble handoffs and effortless floaters that never miss (except in the playoffs last year at the worst possible time, but we’ll ignore that).

It’s super impressive, but in the current NBA when you shoot this amount of volume at 50% from 3, you can beat any team. But then they manage to make those shots without SGA or JDub. This also speaks to Cavs’ horrid perimeter defense.

Chet is a pretty spotty scorer, but he hit his average today. 15 rebounds is well above his average, and 4 assists is a good stat too. 3 blocks on top of that. So long as Wemby and Jokic breathe, he’s far from the best big in the league, but he’s a damn good defensive player and he’s a good fit for the Thunder.

he’s just never gonna be a solo creator offensively, doesn’t have the handle to take advantage of bigs, or the strength to take advantage of smalls.

as long as he can stay hyper efficient as a finisher and bring the DPOY level defense though we don’t really need him to, that’s what Shai/Dub/Mitchell are for.

His kryptonite is big, quick, physical point-of-attack defenders. It’s like Lu Dort was bred in a lab specifically to ruin Mitchell’s day. This happens literally every time that the two of them match up
