[Highlight] Wemby crossed between his legs in this post move
The camera quality of these player highlights absolutely fucks. I wish they’d film entire games using these

The NBA has hundreds of classic games in full beautiful HD that they hoard somewhere, pisses me off we’ll never see any expect bits and pieces or when sports documentaries pay insane money to get some of these raw clips or it gets uploaded to youtube in 480p.
FUCK MAN I’M CRASHING OUT.
I was supposed to go to the Spurs Raptors game next week, this was supposed to be the seat i get.
Now I gotta travel for work, and Wemby only comes here one per year.
Fuuuuuuuuck I want to see Wemby.
Get out of that shit. I’m your uncle and I’m dying and you can’t go.
Would take the viewing experience to the next level imo. NBA is already an intimate sports ie no helmets or caps. Would feel like we’re court side
Seriously man wtf 😂that’s one hell of a move
i’d be impressed by a guard doing that let alone a 7’5 guy
When your dribbling through a 5 foot ladder it makes it a little easier
lower center of gravity is a big advantage for ball handling
Are you saying ball handling is easier bc he has longer legs?
Can’t tell if you’re baiting or not but anyone who plays ball knows it’s the complete opposite.
Switching directions and handling the ball fast is easier for shorter players bc of lower center of gravity and fast movements are easier for shorter players.
EDIT; yeah just checked your comment history and you have 0 ball knowledge and don’t even frequent NBA sub. You’re straight up hating on Wemby 😂😂😂
No it doesn’t
Someone said recently we need Jason Williams back in the league, Idk if it was Jeff Teague or whoever, but we got Jason Williams. Just looks nothing like him
Wemby does something every game that you just never see before and maybe never again
He’s generational and he knows it lol
come the fuck on lol
Did he do that all with one hand too? insane haha
Dude’s just unfair at this point
Because he can carry a ball around himself?
Yes that’s literally why it’s unfair. He brings the ball almost fully around his body before he dribbles again. His combination of skill, size and the loose rules on travels/carrying means he can do whatever he wants if nobody can get between him and the basket and keep him out of dunk range.
Carrying doesn’t exist in the NBA
i am 16 inches shorter than wemby and i have 1/10th his handle
How is your handle with a mini basketball? Cuz that’s what a real ball is like to wemby
Real talk, playing with those kid sized basketballs actually feels nicer just coz it fits my hand. Also its fun swatting the ball away from my kid when he tries to go for a shot. I am literally sonning him.
Poster above fireplace?
Not gonna lie, I feel like its harder with a smaller ball…
Its like trying to dribble a tennis ball. Wemby is a god
Is that how curry works on his handle?
A lot of players do. I’ve seen high schoolers doing the spider warmup/exercise using tennis balls. I think it helps with hand-eye coordination but doing it as a warmup seems counter intuitive to me because tennis balls are way bouncier than basketballs and I think it could mess up your muscle memory
Clearly the future face of the league
San Antonio is an ass market tho. It’s not La or New York. Just not as cool. Or even Chicago. Market matters
Matters to who exactly? Lame people?
Silvers burner found.
Mainstream audiences. That’s what the face of the league means. To be the most popular. San Antonio is an ass and uncool market. Every face has to be in a market. The league will not have a true face for a long time
you’re ass and uncool
😂😂😂. You don’t like the truth. It’s okay. Wemby plays with legos. That’s not the face of the league Brodie
Maybe 20 years ago. The media landscape is completely different now
It still matters. Anthony Edwards would be bigger in Chicago or New York. Facts.
Right because the last faces of the league played in - let me check - Lebron for the Cleveland/Miami, Curry in SF/Oakland, Giannis Milwaukee, and Jokic Denver
Lebron doesn’t count. He was a mega star before the nba. Jokic and Giannis were never the face. Popular yes. But never the face. Curry was in Bay Area which is close to Silicon Valley that market exploded around the same time curry starred to pop. U wrong. Every face of the league has to be in a big market. Common ppl don’t know Sga
Silicon Valley isn’t even top 5 in terms of metro areas in the US.
We haven’t had a face of the league play in a top market since Lebron 2020, Kobe 2010, and Jordan 90s.
While you can make the argument the NBA was most popular in the US in the 90s when the face was in a bit US market, right now it’s the most popular it’s ever been globally and thats with all this time without a face in a big market
I’ll correct myself, I pulled up metro areas by population not by economy and San Fran is on top 5 and therefore Curry meets the criteria in 2022
Bay Area is a big market. It’s California too. It became a big market at the same time curry exploded
Texas is a big market if that’s statement we can make
Nah. All the franchises are lame. Except Houston. But Houston doesn’t have the same cool factor as lakers Knicks bulls. You have to be in a big market and be in a cool franchise. That’s why Shaq left Orlando. Shaq is Shaq. But he becomes a superstar with lakers. Truth
Yes that is true but was Shaq ever the face of the NBA??, Jordan was retiring, Allen Iverson was culturally a big star, Yao had the global audience, Duncan was winning championships too, and there was Kobe.
This account acting like people don’t have phones
It matters bro. Thats why Lebron went to La. Why curry is as potent as he is. Bay are market is one of the best. Luka exploded in popularity since leaving Dallas. I’m right
Wemby will dunk on you for this
I’m blocking that shit
do you get a cut of league revenue? if not it should not matter to you unless you’re a dipshit
It matters to you. Thats why u commenting. Are u dipshit???
Who care
That is so fucking clean
I didn’t even sew that real time at all. I was wondering why Raynaud just sat there and watched it initially.
Yeah it looked like it was just a hesi (which is impressive still). Didn’t know it was a tween hesi. My god.
Westbrook looking like he’s so done with the NBA
Having his soul sucked out in sacramento on the worst team in the league while also making 1/10th of the money he used to make
Man must be seriously in financial trouble to not just retire right now. And he just got all that money from the lakers too
All you can do is yell “Help!!!”
That was fucking wild
You can’t even do this in 2K.
Oh my goodness 🔥
I play soccer and sometimes when defending some players I’ve had the thought:
“hey man, that felt personal, we cool?”
I’m pretty sure Raynaud and Wemby are friends. I don’t think it was too personal. xD
This is fine art. Hang this shit in a museum and have the entire world marvel at it. Oh my fuckin god…
This is sick, but is this not a clear carry??
nope. it’s just so sick that the viewer’s mind hallucinates the carry.
rule of cool
yeah i said that when i saw it, but i didnt notice the between the legs dribble and catch with the same hand, holy shit
Ok that was too smooth
I suppose there really is a ton of space there to take advantage of.
It’s like if I did that with a handball.
people who say wilt records are against plumbers can eat shit because wemby about to break so many records
Yeah this dude is a real life aliens
There was a post on r/unpopularopinion recently that said the NBA should have a height limit because right now it’s just all about guys being tall and not really being skillful (and OP used Wemby as an example).
I wish I could’ve just posted this video. Wemby is doing things that guys half his size can’t do. Sure he’s tall as fuck but there’s a reason he’s considered possibly the greatest prospect EVER. Guys like Wemby don’t come often (if ever), and that’s why he’s a big deal even in a “tall” sport.
I need him an melo on same team
Wow. Just wow. I didn’t see that at first but that’s crazy!
That has CP3 written all over it
At first I thought of him working Jamal Crawford but I’ve seen CP3 do that too many times
This is ridiculous lol
NASTY
Wait…what?
Got dayum those monks
Is that like a reverse Shamgod?
Might just be a regular Wembgod, not sure.
Great move but holy carry lol. I know they don’t really call it anymore but damn…
Keegan tried lol
Feels like he must carry it. Need another angle.
Insane move. In the post no less.
I don’t want to be a hater because he is nasty, but how is that not a carry?
Did he just do what Duncan Robinson did to him? Good ole Dunc teaching the youngins.
What the Helsinki?
How can a human his size do that? Mind blowing!
Carry
Hate to be that guy but carry.
If you’re gonna call that a carry then the whistle is going to be blowing every single possession and that’s not an exaggeration. I don’t like it either but it’s just the reality of the game now
I haven’t seen a carry called in like a decade. Rule basically doesn’t exist now
I was thinking the same thing. Granted I had to pause to see it so I could see what the ref missed it
Terrible defense. Wemby isn’t fast or powerful, got to be up on his body smothering him.
Instead, defender lets a little forearm knock him back 6 feet.
I’m sure you’d 100% lock him up.
This guy- “I’d win”
He gets locked up all the time by smaller guys who don’t give him space. It’s the KAT defense technique.
He is literally the fastest person on the planet at his size lol. He is such an athletic freak for that size and build it’s not even funny. You are massively downplaying how hard he is to guard. Teams base.their entire defensive strategy around minimizing him.
Can’t let him back you down or you’re cooked. It’s KANGZ! defense.
Undeniably sick move, but I feel old as hell watching some of these clips. 100% a carry lol
100% a carry lol
How? It doesn’t even look close to a carry tbh - you can put your hand on the side of the ball..
Because his hand is more than half the size of the ball, and if you slow it down, as we approach the 2 second mark, he has almost a 90 degree bend in his wrist while he unnaturally rotates the ball up and around his body during the post move, and then dribbles again.
On replay, I’d call it a carry, but in real time - whatever, just play.
Do I misunderstand what a carry is? Doesn’t the back of his hand need to be facing the hardwood for it to be a carry?
Going frame by frame his hand is never between the ball and the floor.
Is this not the same as any player palming the ball?
I’m not arguing with you, just trying to understand
It looks like a carry because of how long his dribbles take to reach the ground but its not lol
It looks like a carry because he scoops the ball with almost his entire hand on the underside of the ball lol
Hand never went under the ball though he just had a grip on it on the side of it
It 100% is. Just not under today’s lenient rules
It’s not bro. Stfu
It is obviously a carry. They rarely call it but come on lol. This was blatant.
I’m always surprised by these type of comment threads until I remember the average age of redditors lol
It’s okay. I’m getting gaslit by toddlers that this somehow isn’t a carry. Mind you, there are way worse carries not being called every game in the current era, but it still is a carry.
Yep. Almost every player carries almost every dribble at this point, JT being one of the most egregious. Just because they don’t call it doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.
