Yup. Yo guy gets more MVP nods (Cade very much deserves it) but Wemby should be in the same MVP talks as Cade. Both are leading their respective elite teams. One is an offensive hub, and the other is a two-way powerhouse. Both got numbers to prove it. One plays more minutes while the other is more efficient.

Wouldn’t really count the drafting part mainly because the Spurs FO basically wasted 6 draft picks in ‘21 and ‘22. They got lucky in the succeeding drafts and they’re still giving out SRPs for free.

One of those picks could’ve been used to draft a backup big but then we’re settling with Biyombo’s and Olynyk’s corpse.

Easier when you get 3 top 4 picks in a row including the greatest prospect since LeBron.

So it’s not exactly hard hitting evidence, but I would consider Stein to be generally credible, and he has historically had pretty good relationships with coaches and players. With that in mind I see no good reason not to treat it as legitimate attribution even if it’s not a primary transcript.
