“Now it’s winning time.” -Cam Thomas is excited to play meaningful basketball.
hey if we can make the play in and giannis comes back I wouldn’t mind. but the original plan was to have cam thomas be the tank commander.
We are never going to catch the teams that have been tanking all year
You don’t need to really, you just want the best odds you can get.
I was all about the tank a few weeks ago but at this point for team morale and retaining players in the future I would like them to compete
This can be achieved by trading Giannis to the Lakers for Ayton and a conditional second.
“You don’t need to really, you just want the best odds you can get”
Which is the exact point you just hand waved away
Which means you don’t have to catch the worst teams. The Bulls tanking is still good even though they can’t catch the Jazz
With Giannis healthy and in the playoffs they always will have a chance to make the finals. He is the best player in the league and the gap to him and the 2nd best player in the east is massive
Cade don’t run we coming
Hmmm thats why I dont get why they are worse than Miami or Atlanta. Obviously I dont watch the games but I wouldve thought for a team thats trying they should be better
Giannis has been injured and the team was formed to surround him, oh and doc rivers is the coach too. Thats why their record is so bad, but the trade deadline rejuvenated them with cam Thomas and ousmane dieng.
Is the meaningful basketball in the room with us
The jump from 14th to 11th in the East is a 10-win margin, I’d argue that’s pretty meaningful.
NBA fans hate it when teams try to win
What a dumb shit thing to say
All this guy cares about is scoring 25 PPG and if that is happening, meaningful basketball is not being played
You should check out his tape with the Bucks
You mean the tape from the 4 games he’s played with the Bucks compared to the 6 years he’s played in the NBA? The 6 years where he kept getting traded for….no reason probably?
You’re getting downvoted, but they’ll learn. It’s only been a few games. They’ll be calling for his head soon enough if they re-sign him.
I mean is it really just impossible that getting waived is enough to change a solid young player’s mindset lol
No, but it’s only been a few games, so why would we think that way instead of the way he’s always been prior?
Pushing for the playoffs is objectively more meaningful than what Brooklyn has played for the past 3 seasons
But this is just our second season of actually tanking. Before that we didn’t even have our picks. We were actually trying to win games, but the problem was that Cam Thomas was our best scorer.
The past 3 seasons of Cam Thomas being the guy lol
Played 2 playoff games albeit a minute amount in 2023. So not objectively.
I was including this season - that was 4 seasons ago
But I guess you could argue those 15 minutes in the first round post KD trade were more meaningful than the Bucks situation right now
Milwaukee has won six of the last seven
Cam didn’t play half of those, and who did the Bucks beat in those games?
Do any of you actually watch basketball?
Yes, Cam Thomas is a one-trick pony. But his one trick is literally the most valuable trick in the game lol
There are far worse players than Cam Thomas in the league. Most players aren’t even capable of dropping 30 at all, Thomas is capable of doing it on any given night
It didn’t contribute to winning in Brooklyn because he is not a superstar who can carry the team on his back (which isn’t even really a thing anymore in today’s league regardless), and look at that fuckign roster lol. He is a complementary scorer
There are far worse players than Cam Thomas in the league.
Damning with faint praise
You guys joke, but him eating GTJ trash ass minutes has been really great for the Bucks
Not trying to hate but that still doesn’t mean shit when it comes to “winning time”, especially the way Cam means it
Nobody says they’re happy to be here more than Cam Thomas. I’m also happy to be here, buddy.
The comments here are a lot of fans telling on themselves. The Bucks have won 3 straight with Cam Thomas playing. They’re 1 spot away from the play-in. They have had some bad luck with Giannis and KPJ injuries this season.
I prefer the Bucks try to win being a fringe play-in team than try to out tank the likes of the Wizards and Jazz. With Giannis healthy, anything is possible.
Cam, without Giannis, is the perfect situation. You give him the green light and he can score with the best of them. When Giannis gets back? Many will begin seeing the refusal to play team ball or create plays for others.
I think it’s the perfect situation, but if he doesn’t change, it’ll be bad. And for anyone saying he only did that on a losing trash Nets team…he did the same with KD and Harden both on the floor with him.
You love to see this. Guys performing on a bad team get a brand new life and potential future on a better team.
Hopefully he balls out crazy style against everyone but my team
Let em know 🗣
Said every Doc Rivers player ever
I wonder what the losing does to people. Obviously SGA and the thunder were building things but I think I remember they had him sit out quite a bit at the end of seasons to ensure tanking. But not everyone is built like him. Losing on purpose may create a negative mindset?
No, no it’s not 😭
Dude you are on the Bucks, lmao
His per 36 stats with the Bucks have been better than Giannis
[deleted]
Giannis is the player that will lead Giannis to stay in Milwaukee
Haggis is not from Ireland
Respect lmao. That’s like eating a hot dog in new york, but fancy
Eat ur haggis anyways, have some god damn pride for your brothers in the north.
