Once again, another player for the Nuggets has stepped up to the plate as Peyton Watson goes down due to an injury. It looks like Strawther’s habit for fouling while defending has gotten a lot better to the point where he’s usable on defense. He’s also relieving a considerable amount of the scoring load for the Nuggets and has been pretty cool to watch as he gets better

Don’t forget the ridiculous contracts, 4 years for Nnaji, 2 years for Saric with a player option after he’d already proven unplayable the previous season with GS.

Kroenke made the right choice, Malone was too inflexible and Booth was making disastrous long term contract decisions.

I hated how much our fanbase gave Malone a free pass for being Thibs lite. For the last like two years I posted how atrocious his lineup management was and how he never figured out how to integrate MPJ into bench lineups and got so much backlash from the homers

Idk why people act like decent vets on minimums were available and Booth was just straight up refusing to sign them. He made mistakes, sure. But guys averaging 14ppg on good efficiency and decent defense don’t grow on threes. What is pretty clear is that even with the talent they had Denver was underperforming which is 100% on Malone. Adelman is getting more production out of end of bench guys that Malone wasn’t getting from 6th man. Complete fraud.

Straight up. Its been kind of awesome to see the roster building the Nuggets have done through the Jokic era. A ton of savvy moves around the margins that have ended up working out.

Kind of the opposite of the Bucks who keep going for big trades.

There was definitely potential for Strawther to be this good, but you couldn’t look past his defense and inconsistent shooting before this. It’s kinda uncommon for a player to improve this quickly in their weakest areas.

I’m kinda hoping we survived the bug. A lot of the injuries kept piling on cause we had to play people for too many minutes because we literally had no one else to step up. Val was injured right after Jokic cause he wasn’t conditioned and ready to play that many minutes immediately but he had to try. Now we’re only missing Watson and Gordon so we have enough playable rotation players to let everyone get their rest. Should help us avoid further injuries (with a dose of luck).
