We traded for a guy who can step up and potentially run an offense when Shai is off the court, or even run the offense with him on the court and allow Shai to do some more off ball stuff which has been lacking since Ajay’s been out.
And a first round pick in the 20s that we don’t even have room for.

I mean, you specifically need them right now because your two shot creators are out with injury. Shai and Williams are stout defenders and if they’re healthy in the playoffs McCain won’t be able to win any minutes from either of them.
Even if we’re fully healthy McCain will 100% get minutes in the playoffs. Our offense outside of Shai and Dub (and Ajay tbf) has been an issue all year and even going back to the playoffs last year.
