No joke the only jersey my girl has is Naz Reid’s bc she don’t even like basketball but she watched that 2024 game 7 against Denver and all she kept hearing was Naz Reid and she’s like bro he’s good as hell. Not only that but he’s also the only nba player she follows😭 like bro has made her a light basketball fan
He’s been my favorite player on your team for a few years now. I always love those guys that do the grunt work well and don’t get the spotlight. I remember looking up his contract a like two seasons ago hoping the TWolves didn’t appreciate him enough for some reason and he might be trade bait. Nope. Big long term contract
His story is amazing too. LSU to undrafted, to a cornerstone of a very good team with little historical success outside of having one of the greatest to ever play the game. And the way Minnesota has embraced him. He could have a 30 for 30 or a movie made about him potentially when it’s all said and done. A testament to hardworking and perseverance.
Him coming back to Minnesota for less because we were the only team that took a chance on him out in the draft is awesome. Nothing better than a player with full loyalty to a team.
I love that you guys appreciate those dudes that get their hands dirty and perform that role well. When we shipped off Mikal Bridges it was like a funeral procession in Phoenix, even if we got KD in exchange. I didn’t want that trade then and it was a disaster looking back. Those dudes who grind out the non glamorous parts of the game are so undervalued by ownership but are loved by fans
