I might be bias but 2013 Raptors was a pretty big turnaround.

We went from trying to trade the entire roster. The first trade sending Rudy Gay, and then a failed Lowry to the Knicks allowed us to (10-2 run) catapulting us back into winning. Demar and Kyle went from thinking it was over, go pack your bags to never missing playoffs and all-stardom (even had hopes winning it all even against LeBron)

Technically, no. LAC didn’t have a review and refs don’t have the power to add a foul call without a team review.

That being said, literally last Den/LAC game, the refs added a foul against Jordan Miller on a THJ 3 pointer. It was completely baffling because they shouldn’t be able to do that, and I don’t think I ever read an explanation of how that was in any capacity legal.

The contact literally happens AFTER Jamal Murray jumps (and he’s jumping forward slightly). Again, DJJ didn’t bite. He reads Murray well, gets into a good defensive position where he’s not leaning into Murray nor in his landing space or anything. Murray jumps into him LOOKING for contact. If the evidence is: “they bumped thighs,” then we disagree on what contact and action constitutes a foul. If I jump straight into a defender of course we’ll bump thighs. That doesn’t mean they fouled me.

If we’re really going to argue that that’s a whistle that should be called/is a legitimate foul, then you’re basically arguing in favor of the defense truly having every disadvantage in the book. Murray comes down court and uses his off hand to try to create space/push off. Doesn’t work, Murray makes another move, DJJ sticks to him, gets to his spot, doesn’t jump, gives him clear landing space and a zone, and Murray jumps leaning forward to create contact from a grounded DJJ.

Zubac isn’t really overrated. He’s a sound defensive anchor and scorer who gets unlocked to being a very solid offensive C when he has the right point guard. Nobody is saying that he’s a Tier 1 C, but he’s a good starting C on probably the best value contract in the league outside of rookie contracts.

With hamstrings, it’s hard to know when you’re ready to go. The muscle is really big, but very small strains can put you out of commission. You go for a while feeling pristine, pass load tests with flying colors, and have clean imaging, and have it reinjure soon after. The scar tissue that surrounds the old strain just behaves erratically. They’re career plagues for a reason.

Bone bruises are comparatively easier to objectively track. The microfractures are imageable, inflammation is visible, and range of motion is measured with a protractor.

They wanted to get much younger, we basically had no future prior to trading Zu and Harden, if you remember the Unction memes over the summer. We basically lowered the average team age to near 30 rather than 35 in terms of our current rotation and are trying to build for a post-Kawhi era and/or retooling a younger roster for the next 3 years if Kawhi wants to stay as well. Think we’re giving up on a deep title run this year but this sets up the Clippers to basically have a normal trajectory back with picks we’ve gotten from the Zubac trade.

David adelman can’t coach in the clutch man. He has no game plans. This was always one the best clutch team in the league and they can’t beat anyone in the clutch. Jokic has struggled to take on anyone since he has been back. It’s sad to watch and that has lead to an ungodly amount of uncharacteristic turnovers.

It’s funny that there can be so many fouls called where the game is just always on pause but in actuality there are literally fouls on every single possession 😂

If you actually pause and rewind.. You will find a couple of meaningful fouls on basically every possession. A jersey grab doesnt look like much but just delaying a player by a second/s is A LOT and can have a huge affect on who gets space/the ball and so on.

Refs have a super hard job. All i ask of them is that all 3 refs call the game the same for both teams and THEY SET THE TONE. Because when teams are called differently and they let a team decide the tone. You get egregious results.
