He’s fantastic for sure, and his shooting is often lights out. However, I can’t blame this performance on injuries with only him out.

Last game with OG and KAT out? Sure, although arguably a 40 point loss still shouldn’t have happened. But with just Deuce out and with Detroit missing a number of players, the Knicks are in a better spot in terms of missing players imo.

Worth noting that this was pretty much the one thing Trajon Langdon said this past offseason. We had to get taller.

Duncan and LeVert are both 6’7”, Huerter is 6’6”, Green is 6’5”, and even Jenkins is 6’4”. Compare that to Beasley (6’4”), Ivey (6’3”), and Hardaway (6’5”). It may not sound like much of a difference, but it does matter to a degree.

They also struggled against Haliburton (6’5”), Nembhard (6’4”), and Nesmith (6’5”). Although Nembhard is very strong/physical while Haliburton & Nesmith have long arms.

Any backcourt with height/physicality & an elite playmaker is just going to have its way with the Knicks. Get Brunson & KAT in a blender.
